Jakarta, July 18, 2022 – PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, collaborating with the police, has moved quickly to ensure that the victims of the tank truck accident are properly handled.

“Regarding the accident experienced by the tanker with No. Police B 9598 BEH in Cibubur at around 15.29 WIB this afternoon, Pertamina Patra Niaga apologized for this incident, and conveyed deep condolences to the victim and the victim's family," explained Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Irto Ginting.

Irto said that currently, all the victims are in the hospital. Pertamina Patra Niaga will take full responsibility for the accident and seek maximum treatment for all victims.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation, in collaboration with the police. Pertamina also ensures that the fuel supply to fulfill the community needs is not disturbed.

Irto added that people still passing around the incident area are advised to keep their distance and not smoke or light fires.

"For mutual safety, people passing through the incident area, as well as officers at the location, are requested not to smoke or light a fire, considering that the tank car still contains fuel and because of the nature of fuel oil that is a flammable liquid object," he added. **
