Pertamina Patra Niaga Monitors LPG Filling in Banten, Ensuring Correct Measurement

Jakarta, May 31, 2024 - To guarantee the quality and quantity of LPG marketed to the public, Pertamina Patra Niaga West Java Region (JBB) has conducted supervision and inspection of the 3 kg LPG cylinders filling measurements at several LPG Bulk Filling Stations (SPBE) and LPG Bulk Filling and Transport Stations (SPPBE) in the Retail Sales Area of Banten on Wednesday (29/5).

Acting Sales Area Manager Retail Banten, Satriyo Wibowo Wicaksono, visited three SPPBE/SPBE points in the Banten area: SPPBE PT Anugerah Gas Utama in Serang Regency with 54 cylinders sample, SPPBE PT Indah Surya Kencana in South Tangerang with 100 cylinders sample, and SPBE PT Multi Niaga Karunia in Pandeglang Regency with 30 cylinders sample, to ensure that the size and weight of the cylinders are as specified.

"The results from this 3 kg LPG cylinders inspection, with 184 cylinders sampled at the three points, showed that the weight and content meet the standards," explained Wicaksono.

Area Manager of Communication, Relations & CSR of Pertamina Patra Niaga West Java Region, Eko Kristiawan, stated that each Sales Area regularly monitors the filling of LPG cylinders at SPBE and SPPBE to ensure the metrological measurements are active.

"Pertamina Patra Niaga conducts regular checks on the filling of LPG cylinders and monitors the filling process at SPBE and SPPBE to ensure that the LPG marketed to the public is correctly measured," said Eko.

Eko added that to prevent any residue or remaining gas in the LPG cylinders that could affect the filling amount, continuous checks will be conducted at each filling station to prevent measurement errors that could disadvantage consumers and the public.

"Pertamina Patra Niaga will impose administrative sanctions up to the revocation of operating licenses for SPBE and SPPBE that do not comply with the regulations," Eko added.

On a separate occasion, Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Irto Ginting, stated that Pertamina Patra Niaga will continue to enhance synergy with the Ministry of Trade and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, not only in supervision but also in system improvements to ensure that the 3 kg LPG distribution runs smoothly from filling at SPBE to delivery to the public.
