Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut Receives 7 Green PROPER from KLHK

Medan, January 1, 2022 - Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut receives seven awards for the 2021 Green Corporate Performance Rating Program in Environmental Management (PROPER) organized by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK).

Executive General Manager of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut, Asep Wicaksono Hadi, said the seven recipients of the 2021 Green PROPER award at Pertamina Patra Niaga Sumbagut includes the Fuel Terminal (FT) Medan Group, FT Sei Siak, FT Pematang Siantar, FT Lhokseumawe, Integrated Teluk Kabung Terminal (IT), Minangkabau Aircraft Filling Depot (DPPU), and Hang Nadim DPPU.

"We are very grateful for our achievements this year. We have won seven Green PROPER from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry," said Asep, Friday (12/31/2021).

According to him, the Green PROPER award shows the company's success in managing the natural and social environment as well as community empowerment through various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs.

Some of the PROPER assessment indicators include the implementation of a life cycle assessment, emission and greenhouse gas reduction, non-B3 waste treatment, community empowerment, disaster response and social innovation, energy efficiency, water conservation, and protection of biodiversity.

"We would like to thank the Government, especially the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, the Department of Environment and Forestry (DLHK) of North Sumatra, Aceh, Riau, Riau Islands, and West Sumatra. We will continue to support PROPER activities and further improve innovation and environmental management performance," he said.

On the same occasion, the Manager of HSSE Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut, Andri Prasetyanto, said in 2020, his party managed to get four Green PROPER awards. In 2021, Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut receives seven Green PROPER awards won.

"This award shows the company's commitment to how we manage the environment well and even with this Green PROPER. It means that we have exceeded the required conditions. We also add value to natural resource management, energy conservation, and community development around our location," he explained.

In addition to the 7 Green PROPER, said Andri, his party also won seven Blue PROPER awards. This award was received by seven operating units, including FT Sabang, FT Krueng Raya, FT Meulaboh, FT Gunung Sitoli, FT Simeulue, FT Kisaran and IT Dumai.

Pertamina Patra Niaga will always be committed to implementing CSR programs that focus on community empowerment, collaborating with the community to create changes that have a positive and sustainable impact.

Previously, on Tuesday (28/12), the PROPER award was witnessed by the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Ma'ruf Amin and handed over directly by the Minister of KLHK, Siti Nurbaya, to the award recipients at the Vice President's Palace and broadcast via the KLHK Youtube account.**
