Jakarta, May 29, 2024 – Pertamina Patra Niaga continues to collect data on 3 kg LPG users to support the 3 kg LPG targeted subsidy transformation. To enhance data collection services and data integration, starting from June 1, 2024, distribution points will transition from manual logbooks to digital logbooks using a web-based application called Merchant Apps Pangkalan (MAP), an innovation by Pertamina Patra Niaga.
"From June 1, 2024, 3 kg LPG transactions will be digitally recorded through MAP. For those who have not registered yet, please bring your ID card when purchasing 3 kg LPG at the distribution points to be recorded. Those who have already registered can purchase as usual by showing their ID card," explained Irto.
Through MAP, it will be clearer who the users are and how much 3 kg LPG they consume monthly, making the LPG subsidy distribution more accountable to the government. Most distribution points will access this digital logbook via their mobile phones.
Irto also emphasized that Pertamina Patra Niaga continues to open registration for 3 kg LPG users at the distribution points. Consumers must bring their ID cards to be recorded by the distribution points through Pertamina’s MAP.
"As of May, we had registered 44.8 million users, and registration is ongoing. This data collection is carried out to ensure the subsidy is accurately targeted, so the government knows who the users or beneficiaries are," explained Irto.
In 2024, the government set a quota of 8.03 million metric tons for 3 kg LPG. And as of April 2024, 2.69 million metric tons have been distributed nationally.
