Jakarta, January 1, 2022 - PT Pertamina (Persero), through PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional West Java, receives two awards for the Corporate Performance Rating Program in Environmental Management (PROPER) for the 2021 Gold category.
Based on the report from the Minister of Environment and Forestry, Siti Nurbaya, the PROPER rating consists of 2 categories, namely the obedience category and the beyond compliance category for companies receiving Gold and Green PROPER awards. In 2021, 47 companies received the Gold PROPER award.
Two Pertamina Patra Niaga Gold PROPER awards for West Java Region were won by Cikampek Fuel Terminal with its flagship community empowerment program, namely Pesona Walahar Creative Destination and Fuel Terminal Bandung Group with its flagship program Dreamable-Dreamwork. This award was received directly by the Cikampek Fuel Terminal Manager, Abdul Gassing, and the Bandung Group Fuel Terminal Manager, Jefri Makahekung, witnessed by the Indonesian Vice President Ma'ruf Amin and the Indonesian Minister of Environment and Forestry, Siti Nurbaya Bakar at the PROPER Environmental Award event which took place at the Vice President's Palace, Jakarta on Tuesday (28/12).
The Minister of Environment and Forestry, Siti Nurbaya, said that there was an increase of PROPER Gold recipients reaching 47 companies. It is evidence of the evaluation of the company's compliance in environmental and social management.
"The flagship programs are an effort to achieve point 8 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) implementation, namely decent work, and economic growth. In addition to the SDGs, Pertamina also seeks to implement Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) in the social sector. In this way, Pertamina is confident that it can always generate economic benefits for the community following its environmental and social responsibilities," explained the Executive General Manager of the West Java Region, Waljiyanto.
Not only the Gold PROPER award, but the West Java Region also received 7 Green PROPER, which were included in the beyond compliance category. Namely, Integrated Terminal Jakarta, Integrated Terminal Balongan, Fuel Terminal Tanjung Gerem, Fuel Terminal Tasikmalaya, LPG Terminal Tanjung Sekong, Soekarno Hatta Fuel Terminal and Hydrant Installation (SHAFTHI) and DPPU Husein Sastranegara.
"The awards we received are successes that we must maintain and develop throughout the West Java Region.
