Pertamina Peduli Distributes Aid to Victims of Mount Ruang Eruption

Jakarta, May 15, 2024 - Demonstrating its concern towards the community, PT Pertamina (Persero) has distributed aid to victims of the Mount Ruang eruption in North Sulawesi, which includes supplies for evacuees, health supplies, necessities, and ready-to-eat food.

The aid comes from the Pertamina Peduli program of PT Patra Niaga Regional Sulawesi and PGE Area Lahendong.

The aid handover was conducted with the State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) Disaster Task Force on Tagulandang Island, Siau Islands Regency, Tagulandang Biaro, North Sulawesi, last week. The aid has also been delivered through the North Sulawesi Provincial Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) at the Mount Ruang Eruption Disaster Relief Donation Post.

"We appreciate Pertamina for collaborating with state-owned enterprises to deliver aid to the victims. This embodies the AKHLAK values, promoting internal and external collaboration," said Carlo Brix Tewu, Expert Staff of the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises of Mediation, during the handover of aid from the Disaster Task Force.

Fadjar Djoko Santoso, Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, stated that the aid distributed by Pertamina is essential for the affected communities.

"Pertamina Peduli is committed to helping those affected by disasters. Pertamina will continue to distribute aid according to developments in the field," Fadjar said.

Fadjar added that the aid distributed by Pertamina Peduli includes basic necessities and ready-to-eat food, sanitation supplies, public kitchen equipment, clothing, and to support the health of evacuees, Pertamina also provided medicine and vitamins.

"Pertamina will continue to synergize and coordinate with relevant agencies to monitor developments and ensure aid distribution meets the needs of the evacuees," Fadjar added.
