Jakarta, February 27, 2022 – After the earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 Richter Scale that hit Pasaman, West Sumatera, last Friday (25/2), Pertamina moved quickly to send food aid, various equipment, and medical equipment to the affected communities (27/2).
Food assistance distributed includes 1,120 kg of rice, 75 kg of sugar, 100 boxes of instant noodles, and 48 liters of cooking oil. Pertamina Peduli also distributed equipment in the form of 400 towels and 50 blankets, mattresses, adult clothes, baby diapers, and sanitary napkins.
To support the operation of public kitchens, Pertamina Peduli sent assistance in the form of 15 Bright Gas cylinders.
Vice President Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), Fajriyah Usman, said Pertamina Peduli immediately distributed the assistance needed urgently by the earthquake victims in Pasaman, especially food and sleeping equipment.
"During the emergency response period, Pertamina Peduli moved to distribute the urgent assistance victims in the refugee camps needed. Pertamina will continue to monitor further assistance needed by the community during the evacuation," said Fajriyah.
According to Fajriyah, Pertamina will continue to synergize with the Regional Government and various parties to support the smooth distribution of aid at evacuation points.
"Pertamina will also continue to coordinate so that the distribution of fuel and LPG in affected areas can run well," stated Fajriyah.
Fajriyah added that the stock of fuel and LPG in Pasaman is sufficient. Various fuel and LPG distribution infrastructures also continue to operate well.**
