Pertamina Plaju Refinery Adapts Technology Advancement to Ease Refinery Maintenance Process
Palembang, April 14, 2023 - PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional (PT KPI) Refinery Unit III (RU III) Plaju (Pertamina Plaju Refinery) continues to adapt to technological advancements in its operations.
Recently, Pertamina Plaju Refinery workers launched the E-Workshop 2.0 Application, the latest digital solution for efficient refinery maintenance process, on Tuesday (11/4/2023) at Patra Ogan Building, Komperta Plaju.
This Go Live event was attended by representatives from PT KPI headquarters, RU II Dumai, RU IV Cilacap, RU VI Balongan, and RU VII Kasim, as well as the General Manager and all the Management and Section Heads of Pertamina Plaju Refinery.
Yulianto Triwibowo, General Manager of Pertamina Plaju Refinery, appreciated the e-Workshop program for successfully launching E-Workshop 2.0 at Pertamina Plaju Refinery. Yulianto said that if we can implement this e-Workshop program well, it will be remarkable and Pertamina Plaju Refinery’s pride.
Yulianto also emphasized that the e-Workshop application must be well-organized from start to finish, from administration to execution, to pave the way for other applications development that can record every completed task and ensure the work is meaningful.
He also believed that the workers at Pertamina Plaju Refinery are capable of being leaders and innovators in advancing Pertamina Plaju Refinery in the digital era.
"My hope for this e-Workshop is that it becomes a milestone for us to create other digital applications. Thus, we can work more optimally, not only in the office or at the refinery but also monitor its performance while relaxing," said Yulianto.
Yuliusman, Manager of Domestic Product Content & Digital at PT KPI Headquarters, highly supports the e-Workshop program as a tool for Maintenance function workers to track, monitor, and maintain equipment in the workshop. "We appreciate the hard work and innovation. We hope this will spread to other refineries. Hopefully, this application will be beneficial for tracking, monitoring, and become a catalyst for further innovations," he said.
Implementation of E-Workshop 2.0
Eko Sunarno, Vice President (VP) of Reliability of PT KPI, explained that the e-Workshop is one of the links in the chain of reliability management, and it also reflects how we manage maintenance.
Everyone’s ability to manage maintenance will be shown in this workshop, including rotating equipment, instruments, stationary, electrical, and repairs. "I appreciate the launch of workshop 2.0 because that is where we will see how colleagues manage this workshop deeper," he said.
"I hope that in the end, this e-Workshop will become Pertamina Plaju Refinery’s pride. We must also continue to work together hand in hand, and I believe that this e-Workshop will be further developed and can provide input to each other and ultimately benefit each other. In other words, this workshop is a collaboration of all functions to achieve the ultimate goal and improve services through this e-Workshop program," said Eko.
The event ended with the E-Workshop Implementation Commitment signing of PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional Refinery Unit III Plaju 2023 by several managements related to maintenance at Pertamina Plaju Refinery.**
