Jakarta, May 17, 2024 - Pertamina has achieved first place in the Digital Market for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (PaDi UMKM) utilization in the State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) category at the Inabuyer Award 2024. This award ceremony was organized by the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs of the Republic of Indonesia on Friday, May 17, 2024. The Inabuyer Award 2024 is part of the Inabuyer B2B2G Expo 2024, the largest B2B2G event in Indonesia, where buyers from all industries gather.
The PaDi UMKM award was presented directly by the Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs, Teten Masduki, to Hery Murahmanta, SVP of Procurement of Pertamina, in Jakarta on May 17, 2024.
Nicke Widyawati, President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero), expressed her gratitude to the entire Pertamina Group for utilizing MSMEs for their office needs. Nicke stated that this award proves that Pertamina is serious about fulfilling the mandate of the SOE Law to be the driving force of the national industry and to strengthen MSMEs.
"MSMEs are the backbone of the national economy, absorbing 95 percent of the workforce. Given the importance of MSMEs, Pertamina, as an SOE, continues to actively strengthen MSMEs so they can progress and upgrade to the global level," said Nicke.
According to Nicke, various MSME development and strengthening programs are carried out by Pertamina as part of Law No. 19 of 2003 concerning SOE implementation.
"According to the SOE Law, the objectives of establishing SOEs include contributing to the national economic development and actively providing guidance and assistance to economically disadvantaged entrepreneurs, cooperatives, and the community. This is what Pertamina continues to implement throughout Indonesia," added Nicke.
Nicke further stated that Pertamina's commitment to developing MSMEs and domestic industries is also proven in domestic goods and services maximization. It is demonstrated by Pertamina's successful Domestic Content Levels (TKDN) utilization across all business lines of the Pertamina Group, which amounts to IDR 374 trillion annually.
"In 2023, the Pertamina Group became the SOE with the largest TKDN contribution, accounting for up to 50% of the total SOEs’ TKDN," Nicke emphasized.
Due to this outstanding achievement, Pertamina was awarded the 2024 Domestic Product Utilization Award in the State-Owned Enterprise category by the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia at The Meru Sanur, Bali, in early March 2024.
Fadjar Djoko Santoso, the Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, added that this award also signifies Pertamina's support for Indonesia, contributing to nationalism and the strength to rise towards a Golden Indonesia through the empowerment of MSME products and the optimization of domestic industry utilization.
"This award is also a gift for Indonesia to commemorate the National Awakening Day (Harkitnas). Pertamina's commitment is not only to achieve profit targets, but we also aim to increase domestic industry players and promote world-class MSMEs," explained Fadjar.
Fadjar continued, stating that Pertamina is driving the Indonesian MSMEs revival. It is proven by the realization of transactions from 2023 to April 2024, where Pertamina has utilized PaDi UMKM worth IDR 13.1 trillion.
Pertamina, as a leading company in the energy transition, is committed to supporting the Net Zero Emission 2060 target by continuously promoting programs that directly impact the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) achievement. All these efforts align with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) implementation across all Pertamina's business lines and operations.**
