Director of Logistics & Infrastructure and Head of the Task Force of Pertamina, Mulyono, said Pertamina is ready to support the fovernment's policy of allowing people to do homecoming travel.
According to Mulyono, this year's homecoming is expected to happen after two years of the pandemic people are unable to return to their hometowns. According to government estimates, during the Lebaran 2022 homecoming flow, there will be around 85.5 million homecomers and 33 million cars traveling throughout Indonesia.
“All Pertamina Subholding workers from Upstream, Processing, Shipping, Marketing to Gas work together to ensure that the community's energy needs are properly met. Further, the RAFI Task Force will work 24 hours to ensure the community's energy needs are properly met. The entire energy distribution infrastructure is ready to provide fuel and LPG supplies," Mulyono added.
On the same occasion, President Director of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga (PPN) Subholding Commercial & Trading (C&T), Alfian Nasution, added that Pertamina's fuel & LPG stock and distribution are sufficient and running smoothly. Pertamina has prepared additional stock according to the estimated average consumption for each product.
"Gasoline products during the 2022 task force are estimated to increase 11% from 2021, from 90 thousand KL per day to 100 thousand KL per day. Gasoil products in the 2022 task force are expected to increase by 24% to 44 thousand KL per day, compared to last year's task force of 36 thousand KL per day,” Alfian said.
Alfian also added that the increase in gasoline consumption peak was on D-1 and D+1 (homecoming flows) and D+5 of the return flow. Meanwhile, for diesel products, there will be a decline due to large trucks flow on D-4 to D-1 (during homecoming traffic) and during D+5 to D+7 during D+7, resulting in a decrease in demand for fuel oil.
"For LPG products, both PSO and Non-PSO, there is a 3% increase from the 2021 task force, from 25 thousand metric tons per day to 27 thousand metric tons per day. Especially for PSO LPG, the 2022 task force estimates an increase of 6% from the 2021 task force,” Alfian said.
The travel regulation's ease encouraged community mobilization tends to increase, so it is estimated that the realization of avtur consumption in the 2022 task force will increase by 57% compared to 2021, from 5,434 KL per day to 8,527 KL per day.
Alfian revealed that Pertamina also provided fuel services during the Rafi task force period. It includes standby petrol stations in potential routes (toll lanes, tourist routes, logistics routes) alerted 24 hours and 1,370 petrol stations. Agents and LPG standby outlets are also alerted for up to 24 hours, especially in areas with high demand during Rafi, as many as 48 units.
The Pertamina Kiosk is a standby unit, an additional service unit in locations that do not have petrol stations. It provides 50 units of Pertamax and Dex series. Delivery service for fuel (pertamax/dex series) for consumers in congested locations is 230 units. Tank cars that are alerted as bags/reserves for fuel supply of up to 149 units to health facilities are also on standby in collaboration with Pertamedika to provide health checks, including ambulances at 14 locations.
"With the support and cooperation of all stakeholders, Pertamina is ready to make this year's homecoming successful," Alfian said.**
