Jakarta, April 26, 2021 - PT Pertamina (Persero)'s Ramadhan and Eid Al-Fitr Task Force (Satgas RAFI) 2021 has officially begun its task securing the energy needs of Indonesia. The RAFI Task Force will be on duty from April 26 to May 31, 2021.
SVP Corporate Communication & Investor Relations of Pertamina, Agus Suprijanto, said this year is the second time the RAFI Task Force has worked in the Covid-19 pandemic situation. For this reason, Pertamina will continue to carry out strict health protocols in all line supply points to fuel and LPG outlets following predetermined service standards.
"We are committed to serving energy needs, so that people can enjoy Ramadhan and Eid al-Fitr in peace. Pertamina has formed a Task Force for the Control and Monitoring of the Smooth Distribution of fuel, Avtur and LPG, for all regions of the country," said Agus.
Agus added that even though the Government has imposed a ban on going home, Pertamina is still anticipating a potential increase in fuel and LPG energy consumption. For gasoline, Pertamina expects an increase of up to 8 percent from the usual average of 84 thousand Kilo Liter (KL)/day. The prediction of a slight rise occurs in Gasoil, which is 2 percent of the normal average of 38 thousand KL/day. During the 2021 RAFI Task Force, LPG consumption is predicted to increase to 5.4 percent from normal conditions of 25 thousand metric tons/day. In contrast to other products, Avtur is estimated to decline by 3.8 percent from the normal average of 6 thousand KL/day.
During the RAFI Task Force, continued Agus, Pertamina had prepared 114 fuel terminals and 7,469 petrol stations, 23 LPG terminals, 667 SPBBE, 4972 LPG agents with 223,322 outlets throughout Indonesia. To serve air transportation, Pertamina also has 68 DPPUs on stand-by.
"The RAFI 2021 Task Force will also continue to provide additional services such as stand-by tank trucks, Pertashop, Motorists, Mobile Dispensers, and Alert Agents," said Agus.
