Pertamina Receives 24 Awards at the Indonesian CSR Awards 2020  

Jakarta, November 19, 2020 – Pertamina Group has successfully received 24 awards at the Indonesian CSR Awards 2020. Pertamina receives the highest awards, which are ten Platinum awards, thirteen Gold, and One Silver. The award was presented by the Chairperson of the CFCD (Corporate Forum for Community Development), Thendri Supriatno, accompanied by the ICA 2020 Steering Committee at the Awarding Night at Hotel JS Luwansa, Jakarta, last Friday.

Acting Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Heppy Wulansari, said this award was given to Pertamina because it has contributed to implementing ISO 26000-based social and environmental responsibility by empowering communities around the operating area to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

"Pertamina continues to innovate sustainably in carrying out the CSR and Community Development Program so that it has a big impact on society. The hope is that with sustainable empowerment, it can bring more independence and prosperous community life," explained Heppy.

Heppy added some of the subsidiaries that have won platinum awards are Pertagas (3 Platinum), Pertamina EP (3 Platinum), Badak LNG (3 Platinum), and Pertamina Hulu Energi (1 Platinum). Meanwhile, the subsidiaries and operating units that won Gold were Pertamina Hulu Mahakam (3 programs), Pertagas (3 programs), Pertamina EP (2 programs), Pertamina Hulu Sanga Sanga (2 programs), PHE (1 program), Badak LNG ( 1 program), and Refinery Unit II Dumai (1 program). The Silver award was won by the Refinery Unit II Sei Pakning (1 program).

The three Platinum awards that were won by Pertagas continued Heppy, were the Environment Category with the "Asman Toga Melati" program (Operation South Sumatra Area), the CID Category for the "Smoked Fish Village (Fish Smoker Group, Sidoarjo)" (Operation East Java Area) program, and the CID Category program "Empowerment of Independent Women through Kampung Batik Ecoprint" (Operation Kalimantan Area).

Meanwhile, the 3 Platinum awards achieved by Pertamina EP include Asset 5 Tarakan Field with its program "Bees Enbarter, Education Services, Ecology, Waste-Based Economy and Utilization of Waste for New and Renewable Energy." Second, Asset 1 Rantau Field with its program "Siekula Aneuk Nanggroe - Magnet Education in the 3T Area "and third, Asset 1 Jambi Field with its flagship program" Shining Village (Clean from Drugs), Economic Development, Culture, Education Clean from Drugs. "

Badak LNG also won 3 Platinums for the program "In-situ Conservation of Mangrove Ecosystems," "Synergy of Non-B3 Waste Utilization for Community Economic Improvement in the Masdarling Village Program," and "Bontang Kuala Ecotourism." Meanwhile, Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) won the Platinum award for the "Labuhan Mangrove Ecotourism" program.

General Chairperson of the 2020-2023 CFCD, Thendri Supriatno, said the 2020 ICA award was an appreciation for companies that have carried out social and environmental responsibilities to have a positive impact on the surrounding environment.
