Lombok, September 28, 2024 – The series of events at the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia officially kicked off on Friday (27/9), where Pertamina Patra Niaga, in collaboration with Rumah BUMN Pertamina East Lombok, supported 60 of its fostered Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to showcase their products. This event, held from September 27 to 29, 2024, at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, highlights the richness of local culture and creativity, captivating tourists.
The 60 participating MSMEs were part of the Energizing You Festival, offering various products ranging from Lombok's signature culinary delights to handcrafted items such as bags, clothing, and accessories that serve as appealing souvenirs for visitors.
"We are committed to supporting regional economic growth through MSME participation in international events like this. This support is expected to accelerate MSME growth, particularly in Lombok," explained Heppy Wulansari, Corporate Secretary of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga.
Heppy further mentioned that all MSMEs selling food used Bright Gas to ensure the highest quality dishes during the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia. Additionally, the MyPertamina app usage made transactions easier, optimizing the shopping experience for visitors. "With MyPertamina, MSMEs can manage their sales efficiently, and buyers also enjoy special prices for each transaction," Heppy added.
Various visitors, including overseas visitors, showed great enthusiasm for the Pertamina-supported MSMEs. One of them, Susie Gait from England, purchased a traditional Lombok songket and expressed her interest in Indonesian products.
"I think it is an incredible idea to have so many booths selling local crafts and food because we do nothing like this at the British Grand Prix. It is a great way to introduce local products to the world," said Susie.
Indah Lestari, one of the MSME entrepreneurs fostered by Pertamina Patra Niaga and the owner of Songket Bunga Rinjani, shared how helpful it has been to be a Pertamina’s fostered partner. She mentioned that she has gained numerous benefits for her business development.
"I am very grateful to Pertamina for their continuous support, especially now that I have been invited to sell at the international Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia. In addition to increasing my brand visibility, my income during this event has also significantly risen," said Indah.
