Pertamina's Fuel Consumption Increases Three Days Before Eid al-Fitr, Pertamax Surges the Highest

April 8, 2024 - Pertamina's fuel consumption three days before Eid al-Fitr 1445 H or Sunday (7/4) increased, with gasoline rising by 3.7%, diesel by 0.6%, and kerosene by 5.5%. The highest increase occurred in Pertamax, with a 70.6% surge.

"The average fuel daily realization has increased compared to normal sales during the 2024 RAFI Task Force period. Travelers are advised to ensure sufficient fuel to anticipate queues on the journey," said President Director of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Riva Siahaan, in a written statement on Sunday (7/4/2024).

Furthermore, Riva explained that Pertamina Patra Niaga continues monitoring to ensure fuel safety. Monitoring is done directly in the field and digitally through the Pertamina Integrated Enterprise Data and Command Center (PIEDCC).

"At PIEDCC, we can see the stock of each petrol station along with its delivery schedule, and we can even monitor petrol stations through their CCTV cameras, which are integrated into the Pertamina system, all in real-time," Riva emphasized.

On the third day before Eid al-Fitr 1445 H, fuel consumption, such as Pertalite increased by 26.9%, and Pertamax increased by 70.6%. The increase in consumption occurred in almost all types of fuel.

Pertalite consumption increased by 26.9%, Pertamax by 70.6%, Pertamax Turbo by 33.3%, Diesel decreased by 4.1%, Dexlite increased by 28.3%, Pertamina Dex increased by 32.2%, and Kerosene increased by 42.5%.

Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Irto Ginting, added that they mobilized 1,792 petrol stations for 24 hours, 61 Pertamina Siaga Kiosk points to provide Pertamax/Dex Series, 54 mobile units in congested locations, and 200 tank trucks. Additionally, there are 5,027 standby agents to supply LPG and six Serambi MyPertamina points to provide healthcare services, nursery rooms, and various rest facilities on the homecoming routes.

"Petrol stations in potential areas such as toll roads, tourist routes, and logistic routes are on standby 24/7," he said.
