Pertamina Successfully Assists 82 Percent of Rumah BUMN Partners to Become Upgraded MSEs

Jakarta, July 25, 2021 - PT Pertamina (Persero) has paid more attention to micro and small enterprises (MSEs) sector sustainability throughout Indonesia. Through Rumah BUMN (RB), Pertamina has fostered more than 9,300 partners across 30 points throughout Indonesia. Of this amount, as many as 82 percent of them have become upgraded MSEs.

Acting Senior Vice President Corporate Communications & Investor Relations of Pertamina, Fajriyah Usman, detailed that of the total Pertamina's RB fostered partners who joined, 34 percent or more than 3,100 partners were promoted from Go Modern to Go Digital MSES.

"Those (MSEs, red) who advanced to Go Digital have succeeded in transforming from traditional-based businesses into digitally literate MSEs. With the ability to promote and sell their business products through the help of social media or other digital media," said Fajriyah.

Aside from that, from the Go Digital class, as many as 39 percent or 1,200 foster partners have succeeded in advancing to Go Online MSEs. At this level, the fostered partners have been confirmed to master several supporting devices and applications in selling, such as marketplaces and social media with marketing features such as Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, Tiktok for Business, and others.

Furthermore, with intensive guidance from Pertamina, as many as 9 percent of Go Online MSEs have been declared upgraded to Go Global MSEs in the second quarter of 2021. They managed to penetrate the export market and market their products to foreign countries. "By becoming a Go Global MSEs, it can be a way for MSEs to become a middle-class business and even a big business," she said.

Suwono, one of the mentors of RB Mojokerto, owner of UMK Kusen Tiga Putri, is also happy to sell his furniture products to South Korea. He also uses this achievement to continuously improve the quality standards and quality of the products he produces. "Hopefully in the future, we can continue to export products abroad and develop to other countries," he said.

Gusti Bintang, one of the mentors of RB Klungkung Bali, also feels happy with RB Pertamina guidance. According to him, the materials given regularly are easy to understand and practice. "Hopefully, this activity can continue again, with the development of other materials for online creative businesses by introducing application features from mobile phones that can be used quickly," said Gusti.

According to Fajriyah, through the MSE Funding Program, Pertamina wants to provide energy that can move the economy--energy that fuels and energy that produce sustainable growth.

Pertamina also supports SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) achievements through implementing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance)-based programs in all of its operational areas. It is part of the environmental and social responsibility to realize economic benefits in the community.**
