Pertamina Supports World Power Boat Event, Provides Thousands of Liters of Pertamax Turbo for Racers
Medan, March 1, 2024 - Pertamina is fully committed to supporting the organization of the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia World Formula 1 Powerboat Championship (F1H2O). The F1H2O place at the Super Priority Tourism Destination (DPSP), Lake Toba in Balige, North Sumatra, on March 2-3, 2024.
Freddy Anwar, Executive General Manager of Pertamina Patra Niaga for North Sumatra, stated that Pertamina is proud to support the F1 Power Boat event at Lake Toba, Balige. Pertamina Patra Niaga's support includes providing high-quality fuel, Pertamax Turbo RON 98 used by the racers.
"Pertamina fully supports F1H2O. We provide 30,000 liters of Pertamax Turbo for this international event, which will be used by racers," said Freddy during the Pertamax Turbo fuel transport fleet dispatch for the F1H2O event at the Pertamina Patra Niaga Office, Medan, Wednesday (28/2).
On this occasion, Freddy, accompanied by Area Manager Comm, Rel & CSR of Pertamina Patra Niaga of North Sumatra, Susanto August Satria, and the management team, conducted checks on the F1H2O event preparations for the fuel distribution fleet. Pertamax Turbo fuel is being transported from Medan to Balige to support the F1H2O event. Pertamax Turbo is Pertamina's flagship product and is trusted for F1 Power Boat vehicles. This RON 98 fuel is environmentally friendly.
"It is extraordinary to entrust Pertamax Turbo as the main fuel for the success and smooth running of this year's F1 Power Boat. In addition to fuel distribution, we also pay close attention to Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) aspects," he said.
In addition to Pertamax Turbo, Pertamina Patra Niaga is also providing 8,000 liters of Pertamax and 100 liters of Pertamina Dex to support Basarnas in securing the F1 Power Boat activities on both water and land. Moreover, Pertamina supplies 9,400 liters of avtur for helicopters tasked with monitoring the event.
According to Freddy, this support proves the global recognition of Pertamina's fuel products. It also represents Pertamina's contribution to the sports and tourism sectors, with Lake Toba being the venue for the F1 Power Boat event, designated as a Super Priority Tourism Destination.
"This is Pertamina's second year supporting the F1 Power Boat event. Hopefully, this international F1 Power Boat event will be smooth and successful while bringing glory to Indonesia," he said.
