Banjarmasin, April 8, 2022 - Pertamina Patra Niaga Integrated Terminal (IT) Banjarmasin won the Proper Hijau for the 2021 Environmental Company Performance Rating Program (Proper). It is a form of appreciation from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry to companies that have complied with environmental management and community development.
Roy Rizali, Regional Secretary of South Kalimantan Province representing H. Sahbirin Noor, Governor of South Kalimantan handed the Proper Hijau Certificate for IT Banjarmasin to Ihsan Sanjaya, Pertamina's representative, in the Partnership Program and Proper Appreciation event at the Novotel Hotel, Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (31/3).
Also present at the event were the Head of the Environmental Service of South Kalimantan Province and various companies sector representatives in South Kalimantan such as mining, plantations, banking, BUMN to BUMD.
At the event, the Head of the Environmental Service of South Kalimantan Province explained that there are four priority programs to accelerate development with an environmental perspective in South Kalimantan. It includes the Martapura Asri River, the Climate Village Program, the Banua Sesangga Village Program, and the Merdeka Sampah Program. "All programs carry the concept of environmental insight," Hanifah said. Hanifah explained that the Partnership Program and Proper Appreciation are part of the four major programs. In hopes that the activity will conduct commitment screening for business actors. "Not only mining and oil palm plantations, but other companies such as BUMN and BUMD, banking, hospitality, and trade," he hoped.
IT Banjarmasin has obtained the Proper Hijau Appreciation from 2018 to 2021. The green rating indicates that the company has reached beyond compliance. The company not only complies with environmental regulations but also adds value to natural resource conservation, energy conservation, and community development.
The manager of IT Banjarmasin said through the phone that IT Banjarmasin would continue to protect the environment and provide benefits to the community through the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program provided.
