Jakarta, January 9, 2025 – Pertamina's Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025 Task Force (Satgas Nataru), which operated from December 16, 2024, to January 9, 2025, ran smoothly. During the Nataru period, Pertamina successfully ensured the energy supply from upstream to downstream and served millions of travelers during the Christmas and New Year celebrations across Indonesia.
Simon Aloysius Mantiri, the President Director of Pertamina, expressed his appreciation to Pertamina officers nationwide who worked hard to ensure energy availability and services for the public during Christmas and New Year.
"Pertamina has come together to deliver its best performance across all business lines, including upstream refineries, shipping, electricity, gas, and the HSSE function, which continues to promote a safe, healthy, and secure work environment," Simon stated at the Closing Ceremony of the Control and Monitoring Task Force for the Distribution of Fuel, LPG, and Gas during Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025 on Thursday (9/1) in Jakarta.
Simon also extended his gratitude to all stakeholders who collaborated with Pertamina in fulfilling its mandate to supply energy during the Nataru Task Force period.
Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, added that during the Nataru Task Force period, retail fuel distribution generally increased, with gasoline rising by 0.8%, LPG by 1.7%, and aviation fuel (avtur) by 6%. "The growth in gasoline volume largely came from Central Java, while LPG volume growth was highest in East Java. This indicates significant movement of people to these regions during the Nataru period," Fadjar explained.
The fuel, LPG, and avtur distribution was carried out by Pertamina Patra Niaga, who is part of the Commercial & Trading Sub-holding. In addition to distribution, Patra Niaga expanded its services to the public, such as providing the "Serambi MyPertamina" at 22 service points, which recorded 14,101 visitors during the task force period.
Meanwhile, PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional, part of the Refining & Petrochemical Sub-holding, consistently maintained crude oil stock levels at a minimum refinery stock resilience threshold by maintaining a refinery processing capacity of 1.091 million barrels per day.
Fadjar added that with support from the Integrated Marine Logistics Sub-holding, PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) successfully distributed energy to even the most remote areas of the country. In line with the growing energy demand, the cargo volume transported by PIS during the Nataru Task Force period increased by 8% compared to the pre-task force period.
The Gas Sub-holding, operated by PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk, consistently ensured natural gas supply and reliability, supplying over 810,000 household gas connections across Indonesia.
In the upstream oil and gas sector, PT Pertamina Hulu Energi, part of the Upstream Sub-holding, maintained the momentum for increasing oil and gas production to support energy self-sufficiency. Oil and gas distribution proceeded as planned, as well as natural gas supply to buyers.
In line with the energy transition, Pertamina, through its Pertamina New and Renewable Energy Sub-holding, produced clean electricity of 441,594 MWh during the Nataru period, exceeding the planned production of 430,521 MWh by 2.75%. "During the Nataru period, PNRE successfully maintained the operations of its power plants, contributing to national electricity supply resilience, particularly for geothermal power plants (PLTP on-grid) and gas and steam power plants (PLTGU)," Fadjar noted.
Separately, the Nataru Task Force's success in the Energy and Mineral Resources sector was also acknowledged by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Bahlil Lahadalia, during the closing of the National Post for Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025 (Nataru).
"Alhamdulillah, as reported by the Head of BPH Migas, everything went well. This success is due to teamwork and active collaboration. Without teamwork, I believe it would not have been this successful. It might have succeeded, but not as well as this," said Bahlil during the Closing and Press Conference of the Nataru Post at the BPH Migas Office on Tuesday (7/1), as cited from the ESDM Press Release.
Pertamina, as a leading company in the energy transition, is committed to supporting the Net Zero Emission 2060 target by continuously promoting programs that directly impact the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) achievement. All these efforts align with Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) implementation across all Pertamina's business lines and operations.**
