PIS Gives Support to Kubu Gadang Village for Kemenparekraf Tourism Village Program

Padang, April 4, 2023 - PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) is providing support to Kubu Gadang Village, which has now succeeded in becoming one of 75 tourist villages that received the 2023 Indonesian Tourism Village Award (ADWI) from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf).

"PIS, in this case, provides support for Kubu Gadang Village through CSR assistance aimed at developing Kubu Gadang Village to become one of the pride tourist villages in the country," said Corporate Secretary of PIS, Muh. Aryomekka Firdaus, Monday (3/4).

Aryomekka congratulated Kubu Gadang Village, which received an award directly from the Menparekraf, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, on Sunday (2/4). Port Manager of Teluk Kabung, Andi S Wardana as a representative from PIS also present at the ceremony.

"Congratulations to Kubu Gadang Village, selected as the top 75 Indonesian Tourism Village Awards in 2023. PIS believes this village can continue to develop into one of Indonesia's leading tourist destinations with its unique culture, nature, and history."

The assistance provided by PIS is intended to build infrastructure and facilities in the form of sanitation facilities for village visitors. PIS believes this support can encourage Kubu Gadang Village to be more advanced as this village has the potential to develop the life quality of its people through the tourism sector.

Kubu Gadang Village is a successful example of developing a tourism village with support from the government and SOE. It is hoped that the support that has been given can bring more positive changes to the related villages and become an inspiration for other tourist villages in Indonesia.**
