Predicted to Increase Up to 300% During MotoGP Event, Pertamina Ensures Avtur Supply in NTB is Sufficient

Lombok, February 18, 2022 – As a State-Owned Enterprise (SOE) in the energy segment that supplies aircraft fuel in Lombok, NTB, PT Pertamina (Persero), through Sub Holding Commercial & Trading, namely PT Pertamina Patra Niaga ensures sufficient avtur supply during the MotoGP event in March 2022.

According to the Executive General Manager of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga for the Jatimbalinus region, Denny Djukardi, Pertamina has an operating unit, namely the Aircraft Filling Depot at the Lombok Zainuddin Abdul Madjid International Airport, West Nusa Tenggara province, that is ready to serve aircraft fuel needs that is avtur for all airlines.

"During the pre-season MotoGP event yesterday, there was an increase in avtur consumption in Lombok, from an average of 28 kiloliters (KL) to 56 KL per day, which increased around 100%. Later on, we predict an increase in consumption during the MotoGP event, from an average of 30 KL per day to 111 KL or increasing more than 300%," said Denny.

He added that the Pertamina Patra Niaga DPPU at Lombok International Airport had sufficient facilities and equipment to meet the aviation fuel needs during the event.

“DPPU BIL has four vertical tanks with a capacity of up to 1,000 KL and refueller units that will distribute avtur filling to aircraft. Overall, our infrastructure is ready to serve flights to and from Lombok, NTB, during the MotoGP event," said Denny.

Meanwhile, Area Manager Communication, Relations & CSR of Pertamina Patra Niaga for the Jatimbalinus region, Deden Mochammad Idhani, said that as a commercial & trading sub-holding, PT Pertamina Patra Niaga always distributes energy in the form of fuel, LPG, petrochemicals, and other derivative products to consumers.
