Jakarta, March 31, 2021 - President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) Nicke Widyawati directly monitors digital systems to ensure the availability of fuel supply and distribution nationwide is safe.
Monitoring is carried out by visiting the Digitalization Command Operation Center at Telkom Legok, Tangerang, Banten, which serves as a monitoring center for Indonesia’s fuel supply and distribution.
The visit was accompanied by Pertamina's Director of Logistics and Infrastructure Mulyono and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pertamina Commercial & Trading Subholding Mas'ud Khamid on Wednesday, March 31, 2021.
President Director of Pertamina, Nicke Widyawati, explained that Pertamina ensures the sufficiency of national fuel supply and distribution, including the areas affected by the T-301 Balongan tank incident. Through digital monitoring system, Pertamina is able to monitor the availability of fuel stocks and processes accurately and in realtime.
"Through petrol stations digitalization, it is easier for Pertamina to anticipate a disaster, whether an earthquake, flood, or even when fire occurs in tank. Pertamina could see low stock gas stations and immediately create alternative deliveries," said Nicke.
Nicke added that this Command Center operator is on standby 24 hours, to ensure smooth and safe fuel distribution as well as to monitor if there was a gas station having technical problems. Pertamina has also alerted tens of thousands of technicians throughout Indonesia to resolve technical the issues.
Nicke emphasized that since the outset of the Balongan tank incident, Pertamina has implemented the Regular, Alternative, and Emergency (RAE) plan where the Cilacap refinery and the TPPI replaced the fuel supply from the Balongan refinery.
Mas'ud Khamid added that the current stock of fuel and Avtur and LPG is in a safe condition. Biosolar stock currently reaches 22 days, Pertaseries and Premium 27 days, Avtur 74 days and LPG 17 days.
"The fuel stock is sufficient. Since demand for LPG is projected to grow during the first week of Ramadhan, the stock is going to be increased by 10%." " said Mas'ud. *
