Jakarta, July 14, 2021 – The series of Pertamina UMK Academy 2021 events continues. After the opening on Wednesday (23/6), the activity, which is designed to help MSEs to upgrade, held a debriefing program for participants from the Go Online class. The participants were quite enthusiastic about the activity.
Acting Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications & Investor Relations of Pertamina, Fajriyah Usman, said that the debriefing activity must be provided by Pertamina at the beginning of the UMK Academy event. The goal is to provide initial information regarding what the fostered partners will do and other general insights related to upgraded MSEs.
"This briefing was delivered by experts in their fields. Pertamina cooperates with competent parties to provide assistance and training during the UMK Academy 2021. Therefore, the information provided can be maximized and easy to apply," she said.
The debriefing for the Go Online class was held for two days on Saturday (3/7) and Sunday (4/7). In its implementation, there were several material sessions given to UMK Academy 2021 participants. It starts from material about upgrading MSEs, to in-depth information on becoming a successful Go Online MSEs.
In the first session, the participants were provided with information related to the opportunity to become upgraded MSEs amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. Namely by looking for new opportunities in business or staying with existing businesses but making several innovations.
"The fostered partners are asked to be a calculated risk-taker or analyze the conditions and risks of their business. Is it necessary to expand by producing goods that are much needed during a pandemic? Or is it innovation in marketing and other things that are more adaptive in a crisis like this," she explained.
One of the participants in the Go Online class debriefing, Raden Roro Siti Badriyah, expressed her pleasure in the training. According to her, the Kedai Jamu Kanjeng business now really needs digital marketing. "With this knowledge, I have come to know about effective digital marketing techniques," she said.
According to Fajriyah, through the MSE Funding Program, Pertamina wants to provide energy that moves the economy--energy that fuels and energy that produce sustainable growth.
