PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional Balongan Unit Ensures Sufficient Fuel & LPG Production During Christmas and New Year

Balongan, December 27, 2021 - Pertamina, through Subholding Refining & Petrochemical, PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional (PT KPI) Balongan Unit is responsible for carrying out the Government's mandate to ensure national energy security in meeting fuel and LPG needs, especially during Christmas and New Year (Nataru).

During Christmas and the New Year, PT KilangPertamina Internasional (PT KPI) Balongan Unit maintains the reliability of operating facilities. Therefore, operations can run normally, including ensuring a safe level of crude stock that is ready to be processed at the refinery. Diandoro Arifian, General Manager of PT KPI Unit Balongan stated, "All refinery workers will carry the full mandate and responsibility to maintain refinery operations. Both during normal times and an increase of fuel and LPG demand, such as during Christmas and ahead of the New Year. During the Nataru holiday, the Pertamina Balongan refinery will operate 24 hours.

Furthermore, Diandoro conveyed that the community should remain calm because refinery operations are running normally. Fuel supply to the Fuel Terminal (TBBM) and LPG Depots remains sufficient.

PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional (PT KPI) Balongan Unit produces 125 thousand barrels per day of products, such as Premium, Pertamax, Pertamax Plus, Solar, Pertamina DEX, LPG, Propylene. It supplies fuel to DKI Jakarta, Banten, parts of West Java, and its surroundings which are the business and government centers of Indonesia.**
