PT Pertamina Lubricants Introduce Food Grade Lubricant in Indonesia

Jakarta – PT Pertamina Lubricants, subsidiary of PT Pertamina (Persero) which manage automotive lubricant business and domestic & international industry today introduced five (5) H-1 Food Grade lubricant in Indonesia which has met global standard to keep on support customers especially food industries in Indonesia. Five Food Grade consist of four variants Pertamina FG-GO (Food Grade – Gear Oil) and one variant Pertamina FG-HO (Food Grade – Hydraulic Oil).

H-1 lubricant is a Food Grade lubricant which protect and lubricate moving parts of machineries in the process of producing food where “incidental contact” between lubricant and food products might happen. Food Grade lubricant has the same function with other lubricant where it must provide maximum lubricant performance. However, the composition used are components which are not / have minimum impact towards living things if consumed, such as special synthetic components and vegetable oil. Moreover, the chemical additives used by Food Grade lubricant is the one approved by the US FDA (US Food and Drug Administration).

Pertamina Food Grade lubricants are Pertamina FG-GO 150, 220, 320, 460 which are four types of Gear Oil lubricants specifically formulated for Industrial Gearbox lubricants including food and beverages. This lubricant meet the requirements of US FDA, H-1 Certification from NFS (National Sanitation Foundation) and is listed in White Book (Nonfood Compound Listing Directory).

As for Pertamina FG-HO 46 lubricant, it comes to provide protection during food/beverages production process when used as hydraulic liquid for food processing equipment such as fryers, ovens, cookers, conveyors, or other equipment that is closed to source of ignition. Pertamina FG-HO 46 lubricant has a very good lubrication and give protection to corrosion and is registered by NSF International as H-1 lubricants as per requirement of the U.S Department of Agriculture (USDA). Besides that, Pertamina FG-HO 46 has already received Halal certification from MUI (Majelis Ulama Indonesia).
