PTK & Pelindo Establish Synergy to Strengthen National Marine Services

Jakarta, April 8, 2022 - PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental (PTK), a subsidiary of PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) which is Pertamina's Subholding Integrated Marine and Logistics (IML), has implemented a synergy with PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim (PJM)

The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on synergy and integration in optimizing cooperation in ship scouting and towing services, maintenance, and provision of port equipment at PTK Headquarters on Monday, March 21, 2022, demonstrates this synergy commitment. 

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Nepos MT Pakpahan, President Director of PTK, and Prasetyadi, President Director of PT PJM. The signing of this MOU was also attended by the Directors of PT PJM, namely the Director of Finance & Risk Management, Choirul Anwar and management, the PTK Board of Directors, including the Marketing Director, Imam Bustomi; Director of Operations, Hadi Purnomo, and Director of Finance and HR, Afan Aftory, along with the PTK Group Management Team.

"Through the collaboration of PJM and PTK, it will be more optimal for both companies. Although starting with small steps, with the synergy of PTK and PJM, it is hoped that they can contribute to the country according to the company's role," PTK President Director, Nepos MT Pakpahan, said.

Nepos also said that the keyword of this collaboration is optimization. Optimizing the synergy of the two companies' strengths must provide benefits for both parties, both PT PTK and PT PJM. Significant PTK and PJM business Intersections made the two companies intend to work together to strengthen and expand the market. The signing of this MoU is the initial future cooperation ceremony. It follows PTK's long-term strategy, HOIST, to increase synergies with BUMN business entities. PTK seeks to work quickly and accurately to get a concrete business impact.

"The cooperation between PT PTK and PT PJM is very potential through the synergy of these two companies, is possible to handle ports throughout Indonesia. Hopefully, the joint team from PTK and PJM can complete the correct business model. Therefore it can be immediately implemented in the field," explained Prasetyadi, President Director of PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim.

The cooperation between PTK and PJM will improve the operational efficiency of maritime service activities in the oil and gas industry, particularly in the areas of scouting and towing, as well as port equipment maintenance and provision. In this case, both parties agreed to carry out business synergies of mutual benefit, efficiency, effectiveness, and professionalism.**
