Jakarta, November 16, 2021 - Upholding the Pertamina Group's commitment to digital transformation, Pertamina Trans Kontinental (PTK), as part of Subholding Integrated Marine Logistics, has implemented a digital ship operational monitoring system through the Transko Condition Monitoring System (TCMS). The TCMS allows PTK to monitor 355 vessels in all Pertamina Port operation equipment daily data digitally.
"The TCMS implementation is not only to collect data but the data taken must be analyzed by experts. Therefore, we can carry out recommendations and plans. The goal is to carry out proactive maintenance," said President Director of PTK, Nepos MT Pakpahan.
The Go Live event for the TCMS application was held online and offline on November 10, 2021. It was attended by the President Director of PTK, Nepos MT Pakpahan, the Board of Directors, and PTK Management, and representatives from PTK's operational vessels.
"To increase credibility, we have to develop maintenance and improve the process with digitalization," continued Nepos MT Pakpahan. He also added that this digital system innovation is planned and sustainable maintenance of PTK operating vessels.
Yudi Wibisono, as Project Leader, explained the recording process carried out with mobile-based devices. The application replaces paper-based recording with the risk of data loss, out-of-date ship maintenance history, and difficulties in monitoring operational conditions.
Another advantage of this innovation is the template of equipment data that can be modified according to the ship's needs. Therefore, it is easier for the team to add and prepare new equipment and parameters. Historical data stored in real-time can also be used to perform Predictive Maintenance System (PdM). It also can analyze equipment operating conditions as a reference in improvement efforts. Therefore, it can prevent damage to ship equipment regularly.
At the event, a demonstration of detailed data entry was also displayed. A joint discussion session was also opened for the development of system quality, the use of specific tag numbers, and the development of this application to be used in other PTK areas besides shipping, such as jetties or docks.
The application of this digital system is a form of PTK's seriousness in supporting digital transformation in Subholding Integrated Marine Logistics in particular and in the Pertamina Group in general. WithTCMS, PTK will be able to face challenges and changes in the future by making innovations according to business needs.**
