Jakarta, October 22, 2020 – Global business media, Fortune has given the President Director of Pertamina, Nicke Widyawati, as one of the Most Powerful Women International 2020.
Nicke ranks 16 out of 50 women in the world who can control their respective companies. Fortune assessed that Nicke could handle a state-owned company with annual revenue of more than USD 54,6 Billion and 32.000 workers worldwide.
Nicke's ability to control the company is strengthened by the government's trust to choose her once again to lead the company's transformation to become a holding company in the oil and gas sector.
In response, Nicke is grateful and accept the ranking as one of the most powerful women in the World by Fortune positively. Nicke believes that the Fortune ranking is an appreciation that is not only for her but also for the whole team in Pertamina.
According to her, as a peak of leadership in the National Oil and Gas SOE, she has the responsibility to assure that Pertamina continues to provide energy for the country and brings Pertamina as a global energy company that can moves the national economic growth.

Fortune also considered Nicke Widyawati as the President Director of Pertamina to be very worthy of being ranked 16 because she could make a breakthrough in controlling the company during the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, Pertamina's losses could be suppressed, much better than other global oil and gas companies.

Nicke Widyawati is the only Indonesian woman in Fortune's 2020 list of the 50 Most Powerful Women International.
Furthermore, Fortune also placed the President Director of Pertamina ahead of the CEOs of various well-known companies in the global arena, such as Temasek, the largest state-owned company in Singapore, Dutch multinational oil and gas company Shell, and other leading CEOs such as Unilever, PepsiCo, Novartis, Puma Energy, Starbucks, Morgan Stanley, and more.
