Receiving MURI Record, the Minister of SOEs Appreciates Pertamina SMEXPO 2020
Jakarta, September 11, 2020 – Pertamina recorded its success of Pertamina SMEXPO 2020, which was awarded the MURI Record as an Online MSMEs Expo with the Most Products. The event, which was held for three days, also managed to attract 32,741 visitors.
Minister of SOEs, Erick Tohir, expressed appreciation for this event because MSMEs are a very important part of the national economy. "We have to help and fully support MSMEs in order to survive and rise. This event motivated them to remain optimistic to survive in any condition. From here, MSMEs also learn to adapt and adjust business patterns in the new normal," he said at the closing of Pertamina SMEXPO 2020, Friday (11/9).
Regarding the MURI Record presented, the founder of the Museum Rekor Indonesia, Jaya Suprana, said that this event showed Pertamina's concern for the MSME community.
"We would like to thank Pertamina, which has presented more than 1,700 UMKM products. Very impressive, this shows Pertamina's great concern for MSMEs. We are proud to read out the MURI award charter awarding PT Pertamina (Persero) with Online MSMEs Expo with the Most Products," he said.
As is known, Pertamina SMEXPO 2020 was held for three days on 9-11 September 2020. This event presented 1,780 UMKM products from 100 selected Pertamina fostered partners. The products displayed are very diverse, ranging from fashion, culinary, agribusiness to handicrafts. Not just an exhibition, this event is also enlivened with a coaching clinic, business forum, fashion shows, games, to artist performance, all of which are held virtually.
Corporate Secretary of Pertamina, Tajudin Noor, said this event was Pertamina's effort to continue fostering Indonesian MSMEs. "This is a form of our efforts to support and foster MSMEs to be independent. We have coached more than 63,000 small businesses through partnership programs with a total value of more than IDR 3.5 trillion. Especially during this pandemic, we continue to increase our role to survive as well as grow and absorb labor," he said.
