Refinery Operates Normally in Nataru, Pertamina Guarantees Sufficient Fuel and LPG Supply

Jakarta, December 25, 2021 – Pertamina through Subholding Refining & Petrochemical, PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional (PT KPI) which manages all oil and gas refineries in Indonesia ensures that refineries continue to operate normally and produce refined products needed by the public. Pertamina also assures the reliability of the operating facilities in all Pertamina refineries.

Currently there are 6 Refinery Units (RU) in Indonesia that play a role in managing crude oil into refined products such as fuel, LPG and petrochemical. With a refinery processing capacity currently at around 1 million barrels per day, Pertamina's refineries are important assets in maintaining the availability of fuel and LPG for the public.

During Christmas and approaching the new year, Pertamina ensures that the required crude stock is at a safe level and ready to be processed. Refinery operations in all RU will continue to run normally. Ifki Sukarya, Corporate Secretary of PT KPI said, "All refinery workers have the full mandate and responsibility to maintain the continuity of refinery operations together, both during normal times and especially during an estimated increase in public demand for fuel and LPG, such as at Christmas and new year."

With the normal operation of the refinery, therefore, the supply of fuel and LPG distributed to BBM terminals throughout Indonesia will also be in a safe condition, Ifki added. Furthermore, Pertamina will distribute the refined products from the BBM terminal to people throughout Indonesia.

Ifki said that currently, Pertamina has formed a Christmas and New Year's task force consisting of various relevant parties at Pertamina to assure the fulfillment of fuel and LPG needs for the public. Therefore, Ifki asks the public to remain calm and not panic, because Pertamina is closely monitoring the stock. Refinery operations as a part of fulfilling the needs of fuel and LPG also continue to run normally so that the supply of fuel and LPG remains sufficient for distribution to the public.**
