Registration for AJP is Extended Until October 31, 2020

Jakarta, October 14, 2020 – The registration for Anugerah Jurnalistik Pertamina (AJP), which was supposed to end on October 15, 2020, is extended until October 31, 2020. This extension is done to accommodate the journalists’ enthusiasm in many regions, preparing their best work according to the contested category.

Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fajriyah Usman, said that the 2020 AJP is held in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic and the assessment mechanism started at the territorial level. Therefore, journalists still needed to adapt to the new system.

“The participants’ interest to participate is quite high, so we have decided to extend the registration until the end of October. Pertamina also hopes that the journalists will do a much variation in the coverage with the addition of Partnership Program category, which was before combined into the CSR Program category,” said Fajriyah

Unlike other categories, which was only for one media channel, the CSR category, and the Partnership Program are open for all media channels, whether print, online, television, or radio. The Partnership Program, added Fajriyah, is a new category for the 2020 AJP. This category is specifically for Pertamina’s role in developing MSMEs that have become Pertamina’s Fostered Partners.

“Since the Partnership Program was established in 1993, Pertamina has given business capital assistance as much as IDR 3,5 trillion, which has been distributed to around 63 thousand Pertamina’s Fostered MSMEs throughout Indonesia. This can be an interesting object for the writing in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic,” added Fajriyah.

Fajriyah added, the 2020 AJP is giving a much wider probability to win as there are winners in every territorry, starting from North Sumatera, Central Sumatera, South Sumatera, DKI Jakarta, West Jawa,  Central Jawa, East Jawa and Bali, Sulawesi, Kalimantan, and Maluku-Papua.

“The winners of every territory will compete in the final round, in which they will compete with ten territories to become the national winner as well as being the Best of The Best,” explained Fajriyah.

The 2020 AJP offers eight categories: Printed Hardnews Media, Printed Feature Media, Online Media/Cyber, Radio Feature, TV Feature, Photo Essay, CSR Program/Community Development, and Partnership Program.

For the participants to participate in the 2020 AJP, the media can fill in the form, which can be downloaded through the link on Pertamina’s website https://ptm.id/anugerah_jurnalistik_pertamina_2020 or downloaded straight from this link https://ptm.id/FormulirAJP2020. After filling in the registration form, the participants can register and submit their work through the email anugerah.jurnalistik@pertamina.com no later than October 31, 2020.**
