Representing Indonesia Through Rumah BUMN, Pertamina Achieves International Award: 'The Best SME & Community Development Indonesia 2024'

Pekanbaru, May 10, 2024 - PT Pertamina (Persero) is solidifying its positioning as a state-owned enterprise committed to the development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Through the Rumah BUMN in Pekanbaru, Pertamina has won the Recognized Institution award in The Best SME & Community Development Indonesia 2024 category, according to Global Business Magazine, a publication based in the Middle East.

This award is given to all business innovators, market activists, and leaders worldwide, where Pertamina, through the Rumah BUMN in Pekanbaru, emerged as the sole winner. The award information was announced on the official website of Global Business Magazine https://globalbizmag.com/global-business-magazine-winners-2024/, on Tuesday (08/05).

The Rumah BUMN in Pekanbaru is the only Indonesian entity to receive this recognition from Global Business Magazine, where Pertamina's Rumah BUMN in Pekanbaru is praised for providing mentoring to MSMEs in Pekanbaru and implementing its flagship programs for the community, through the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) approach.

Erwandi Yanto, CFO of the Rumah BUMN (RB) Pekanbaru, expressed that this award is an appreciation for RB Pekanbaru's contribution as a TJSL of PT Pertamina (Persero) for MSMEs development in Riau Province.

"When hard work pays off, we are more driven to provide the best for MSMEs. Because the achievement of our programs is inseparable from the role of business actors who have generated creative ideas to produce quality products," said Erwandi.

He mentioned that RB Pekanbaru has been running several Innovation Programs, SME Events, and Millennials Programs. Such as Real Work Festival Vol. 6, for organizing MSME Bazaars, RB Energy (Renewable Energy), innovating household waste into new energy, and Solar Power Plants (PLTS) utilized for MSME production houses. Additionally, RB Millennials Ambassador in mentoring MSMEs by Generation Z and Millennials, as well as energy independence programs and operational programs of the State-Owned Enterprises House in Pekanbaru.

At the same opportunity, the CEO of the Rumah BUMN in Pekanbaru, Dian Pratomo, stated that this award is an encouragement to continue creatively creating new programs for MSMEs. "We express our gratitude for the award given to RB Pekanbaru. We are always committed to supporting and assisting MSMEs to upgrade."

VP of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, expressed gratitude for the appreciation given by Global Business Magazine to Pertamina. He stated that Pertamina is consistent in helping MSMEs to progress.
