Jakarta, July 11, 2021 - The Ministry of SOEs continues to encourage the acceleration of Covid-19 handling and mobilizes state-owned enterprises to support oxygen supply for Covid-19 patients. To ensure the oxygen supply runs smoothly, Minister of SOE, Erick Tohir, Chairman of Commission VI DPR RI, Faisol Riza, Deputy Chairperson of Commission VI DPR RI, Mohamad Hekal, Director of Logistics and Infrastructure of Pertamina, Mulyono, President Director of PT Pelindo II, Arif Suhartono and President Director of Pertamina Gas Subholding PT PGN Tbk, M.Haryo Yunianto, directly inspected the arrival of 6 ISO tanks in Tanjung Priok, Saturday, July 10, 2021. Previously, 21 ISO tanks had also been brought from Morowali, Central Sulawesi (5/7).
The Minister of SOEs, Erick Tohir, appreciated the support of SOEs including Pertamina and their sub holdings in accelerating the handling of oxygen supply. Currently, SOEs perform these tasks to support other ministries, such as the need for oxygens in hospitals which is very important.
"We do not produce oxygens for medical use, but the facilities we have can be partially switched for medical. It is what I emphasize to all SOE directors that we must be service-oriented, not bureaucratic. Never get tired when we have to help the people. We will prove it with concreteness," said Erick.
Chairman of Commission 6 of the DPR RI, Faisol Riza, expressed his appreciation to the Minister of SOEs and the ranks of SOEs who have provided ISO Tank facilities to ensure the availability of Oxygens. Through this provision, the Government can convey to the public not to panic because oxygen is sufficient.
"Our appreciation to the Ministry and the ranks of SOEs for their enormous support. Do not be tired Mr. Erick and SOEs. We are at war with an invisible but deadly enemy, so everyone must be vigilant," said Faisol.
On this occasion, the Director of Logistics and Infrastructure of Pertamina, Mulyono, said that Pertamina is always committed to supporting the Government's efforts in handling Covid-19, including meeting the current oxygen demand.
"Of the 27 ISO tanks currently operated by Pertamina, the capacity is 540 tons of oxygen, thus contributing 60% of the existing capacity," he said
The support for oxygen supply to accelerate the handling of COVID-19 is a synergy of various parties, including Pertamina Group in the management of ISO Tank trucking, which involves Subholding Commercial and trading PT Patra Niaga and Subholding Gas subsidiary, PT Gagas. Meanwhile, ISO tank assistance from PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas), IMIP, and PT AICO. Oxygen supply from several parties such as Samator and LINDE and full support for receiving ISO tanks from PT Pelindo II.
President Director of PT Pelindo II, Arif Suhartono, said "We, PT Pelindo II, in collaboration with other SOEs, strongly support the distribution of health logistics through the Port area managed by PT Pelindo II. We have also coordinated with PT Pelindo I, III, and IV to be committed to ensuring optimal logistics distribution. throughout Indonesia, especially for the health sector in handling COVID-19."
