Bengkulu, April 11, 2022 - Pertamina, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), and BPH Migas, reviewed several petrol stations in the Bengkulu City area to ensure fuel (BBM) and Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) supply and stock are sufficient during Ramadan, on Sunday, April 10, 2022, in Bengkulu.
"We will fulfill the fuel needs during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr holidays. Everything is going smoothly," said Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif at 24,382.16 petrol station, Depati Payung Negara Street KM 15, Betungan, Bengkulu City.
He explained in the inspection that the government allocates subsidized diesel for people who need help, not for industries that do commercial business. For this reason, he urges industry players who have been using subsidized Solar either directly or indirectly to use non-subsidized fuel.
"Today, we see in the field that there are still some use fuel not according to its designation, a lot of this subsidized diesel is used for industrial activities. This is what causes people to not get the subsidized fuel," said Arifin.
Due to the rise in global oil prices, Arifin admits that there is currently a significant price change.
"This is something that cannot be controlled because world oil prices are currently increasing very high. For that, we must be able to allocate this subsidy appropriately. The community must be disciplined to use it according to their rights," Arifin added.
President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) Nicke Widyawati, Head of the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas), Erika Retnowati, Director General of Oil and Gas at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Ego Syahrial, and Bengkulu Governor Rohidin Mersyah were also present at the inspection.**
