Schedule Information and Participant Preparations for the Pertamina Eco RunFest 2024

Jakarta, November 23, 2024 – Pertamina Eco RunFest 2024 is set to combine the spirit of sports with sustainable environmental preservation, creating a positive impact on the environment and society.

This first-ever carbon-neutral running event in Indonesia will occur on Sunday, November 24, 2024, featuring 21,000 participants across various categories.

Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, advised all Eco Run participants to prepare themselves physically and health-wise.

“Participants should follow the route guidelines for their respective categories and note the schedule for the start and finish times to ensure a smooth running experience,” Fadjar explained.

To support the participants, Fadjar shared the following detailed information on schedules, routes, facilities, and preparations for the Eco Run:

Each category has designated flag-off times based on specific zones as follows:

    • Half Marathon (21K)  

      • Flag-off: 05.00 AM 
      • Last Start: 05.10 AM 
      • Cut-off: 09.10 AM (4 hours)  

    • 10K  

      • Flag-off: 05.30 AM 
      • Last Start: 05.40 AM 
      • Cut-off: 07.40 AM (2 hours)  

    • 5K  

      • Flag-off: 05.40 AM   
      • Last Start: 05.50 AM   
      • Cut-off: 06.50 AM  (1 hours)  

    • 1,5K (Family Run)  

      • Flag-off: 05.50 AM   
      • Last Start: 06.00 AM   
      • Cut-off: 06.30 AM  (30 minutes)  

“Participants are encouraged to arrive early at the venue and proceed to their designated zones according to their BIB numbers or runner IDs,” Fadjar advised.

Fadjar also explained that the running routes for each category would pass through several iconic landmarks in Jakarta, including:

  • 21K (Half Marathon): GBK – Sudirman – SCBD – Antasari – Pattimura – Al-Azhar – Senayan Roundabout – Back to GBK
  • 10K: GBK – Sudirman – SCBD – Senayan Roundabout – Back to GBK
  • 5K: GBK – Sudirman – Senayan Roundabout – Back to GBK
  • 1.5K (Family Run): Routes around the GBK area

“Eco Run participants will have access to various facilities, such as ten water stations located every 2 km, spread across Jalan Jend. Sudirman, Jalan Pattimura, Jalan Pangeran Antasari, Pattimura Underpass, and Sisingamangaraja,” Fadjar added.

Fadjar further explained that medical teams are available to ensure participant safety.

“The event will feature eight ambulances equipped with mini ICU standards, anesthesiologists, and around 21 paramedics. Additionally, there will be designated referral hospitals,” Fadjar explained.

“All participants are also covered by personal accident insurance provided by Pertamina Group,” he added.

Pertamina Eco RunFest 2024 not only promotes sports but also supports a healthy lifestyle and environmental preservation. Throughout the event, Pertamina will implement an integrated waste management system in collaboration with Waste4Change.
