Shareholders Appoint 3 New Pertamina Commissioners

Jakarta, July 2,  2021 - The government, through the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) as the General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) of PT Pertamina (Persero), changed the composition of the members of the Board of Commissioners of PT Pertamina (Persero) by stipulating three names namely Heru Pambudi as Commissioner and Ahmad Fikri Assegaf and Iggi Haruman Achsien as Independent Commissioners.

Pertamina's new Board of Commissioners is contained in a copy of the Decree of the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Number SK-222/MBU/07/2021 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of Members of the Board of Commissioners of the PT Pertamina (Persero). The decision was appointed on July 2, 2021.

In the Decree, the shareholders honorably dismissed Isa Rachmatarwata as Commissioner of the Company, who has been in office since December 2019. The Decree of the Ministry of SOEs also honorably dismissed Condro Kirono, as a member of the Board of Commissioners and David Bingei, as a Member of the Independent Board of Commissioners of PT Pertamina (Persero) since 2019 and 2020.

Acting Senior Vice President Corporate Communication & Investor Relations of Pertamina, Fajriyah Usman, explained that on Friday (2/7/2021) Pertamina had received a copy of the decision letter from the shareholders regarding the change in the composition of Pertamina's Board of Commissioners.

"The appointment and dismissal of members of the Board of Commissioners are carried out through GMS as one of the powers of the Shareholders. To the three commissioners whose terms of office have ended, Pertamina would like to thank all the contributions of their energy and thoughts during their tenure," she said.

The profiles of the new members of the Board of Commissioners are as follows:

Heru Pambudi was born in Bondowoso, East Java, on February 11, 1970. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Management Economics at the University of Indonesia and a master's degree at the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, England.

Heru started his career as a Government Employee at the Ministry of Finance in 1992 at the Verification Directorate, Directorate General of Customs and Excise. His career continued by occupying a strategic position in the scope of Customs and Excise. In 2015, he was appointed as Director-General of Customs and Excise of the Ministry of Finance until 2021. In March 2021, he assumed a new post as Secretary-General of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia.

Ahmad Fikri Assegaf was born in Jakarta on June 14, 1968. He holds a degree in Law from the University of Indonesia, a graduate of a Master in Law from Cornell Law School, and has the competence and long experience in the field of Law. He became one of Indonesia's top 100 lawyers in 2020 according to the Asia Business Law Journal. He has served as Commissioner of PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Persero).

Iggi H Achsien was born in Indramayu on February 3, 1977. He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Indonesia and completed his Masters in Global Leadership Executive MBA at SBM ITB and Aalto University, Finland. He has experience in the financial industry, especially in the field of Islamic banking. Previously served as Commissioner in several companies, Iggi is currently a member of the Expert Team of the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia. In early 2021, he became Secretary-General of the Islamic Economic Community (MES) for the period 2021-2023.**
