SMEXPO 2023 Event: Pertamina's MSMEs Ready to Capture the National Market

Jakarta, October 5, 2023 - PT Pertamina (Persero) is set to host the annual Pertamina SMEXPO 2023 exhibition at the end of October 2023. SMEXPO, as a platform for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), will provide Pertamina's fostered MSMEs an opportunity to showcase their products to the public.

The MSME exhibition will run for six days, from October 31 to November 5, 2023, at Gandaria City, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta. In addition to Jakarta, the event will also take place in three other major cities: Balikpapan from October 24-26, 2023, Semarang from November 3-5, 2023, and Pekanbaru from November 15-19, 2023.

Pertamina SMEXPO 2023 marks its fourth year and is dedicated to Indonesian MSMEs as national economic heroes. This exhibition will provide Pertamina’s fostered MSMEs opportunities to sell their products or creations to the public.

This year's Pertamina SMEXPO will carry the theme 'Start with Your Small Steps,' a message that motivates Pertamina's partnered MSMEs to move up a notch. The theme also encourages inclusive MSME groups with limitations to become more independent and competitive.

As part of its activities, SMEXPO will also feature a business forum to facilitate meetings between Pertamina's partnered MSMEs and the global market. Pertamina SMEXPO is open to the general public, and visitors can witness various activities, ranging from marketplaces and fashion shows to live music performances.

Furthermore, as a pre-event activity within the SMEXPO program, Pertamina will organize a fashion design competition by Pertamina officers, where the selected designs will be produced using materials from Pertamina's Disabled Partner, a part of Pertamina's Environmental and Social Responsibility (TJSL) program.

"Through SMEXPO, disabled partners have a platform to showcase their work, and it serves as an educational event for the public about Pertamina's commitment to building inclusive MSMEs," explained Fadjar.
