Semarang, April 1, 2022 – PT Pertamina Patra Niaga ensures the availability of diesel fuel (BBM) products, such as the specified fuels (JBT) or subsidized fuels, to meet consumers' needs in Central Java and the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY). It was conveyed by Brasto Galih Nugroho, Communication, Relations, & Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Area Manager of Pertamina Patra Niaga Central Java Region, in his press statement in Semarang (31/3).
"According to our monitoring, the distribution of diesel subsidies in Central Java and DIY is normal, smooth, and under control," he said.
Brasto emphasized that Pertamina is commited to distributing Solar subsidies to meet the needs of consumers in Central Java and DIY so that consumers do not have to worry.
"So far, it has been recorded that the stock of Solar products at Fuel Terminals in Central Java and Yogyakarta has reached almost 16 days. This figure does not include stock at the refinery or on shipping," said Brasto.
Brasto explained that the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) regulates the subsidized solar distribution for regulation and allocation quota.
"There are as many as 754 General Fuel Filling Stations (SPBU) in our operational areas that are designated to receive distribution allocations for Solar products, 675 in Central Java and 79 in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY)," Brasto explained.
Based on Pertamina's monitoring, there is an increase in diesel fuel consumption, aligned with the occurring economic recovery and improvement. This causes the implementation of the quota that has been set.
"We noted that the average daily consumption of diesel subsidies distributed by PT Pertamina Patra Niaga until the end of February 2022 in Central Java and DIY was at 5,833 kiloliters per day. This figure is 11% above the average daily quota in 2022, which is 5,253 kiloliters per day," he said.
Nevertheless, Brasto added that Pertamina is committed to providing Solar to meet needs, especially for consumers entitled to receive subsidies from the government.
Pertamina appealed to the general public, especially those from the upper and middle class, to use fuel products wisely according to their designation so that the government-subsidized fuel could be right on target.
"We continue to encourage and educate people so that people prefer non-subsidized fuel from Pertamina, which of course is better in quality for vehicle engines and is more environmentally friendly," Brasto said.
For gasoline, there are two Pertamax Series products, Pertamax (RON 92) and Pertamax Turbo (RON 98). Meanwhile, for gasoil, two Dex Series products are available, including Dexlite (CN 51) and Pertamina Dex (CN 53).
