Cilacap, April 30, 2022 – PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional (KPI) RU IV Cilacap continues to carry out various initiatives in realizing the vision of becoming a world-class Refinery. It is proved by the inauguration of five strategic projects by the Board of Directors of PT Pertamina (Persero) and PT KPI during Safari Ramadhan 1443 H visit in Cilacap on Monday (25/4/2022).
The five projects are Solar Power Plant (PLTS), Digital Refinery Center, Strategic Command Center (SCC), use of Jalan MT Haryono Relocation, and Oxygen Generator Package.
Acting GM of PT KPI RU IV, Arief Budiyanto, detailed the PLTS project with a total capacity of 1.34 MWp with a projected reduction in CO2 emissions of 1,635 tons per year. "The Digital Refinery Center is a means of increasing worker competence with digital facilities & infrastructure. SCC is the center for monitoring and controlling business, operation, and maintenance of refinery equipment," he said.
Meanwhile, the use of Jalan MT Haryono Relocation and Kali Cinyemeh is part of the expansion and development of the refinery through the Refinery Development Master Plant (RDMP) project. "Meanwhile, the Oxygen Generator is a facility for filling oxygen cylinders for medical needs at clinics, Pertamina Hospital, and refinery maintenance," said Arief.
The President Director of PT KPI, Taufik Adityawarman, appreciates the management for these strategic projects' presence as evidence that RU IV Cilacap officers continue being creative in developing the Cilacap refinery potential. “Therefore, the refinery's performance is getting better, more profitable, reliable, sophisticated, and safer. Hopefully, this spirit can be transmitted to other RUs, and improved following the refinery development roadmap," he said.
Director of Strategy, Portfolio, and Business Development (SPPU) of PT Pertamina (Persero), Iman Rachman, assessed that the inauguration of these strategic projects is a tangible manifestation of Pertamina's commitment to provide energy with availability, affordability, and sustainability principles. “The units and projects that were inaugurated will improve the implementation of digitization so that the process at the refinery is more effective and efficient. This collaboration between Subholding Refining & Petrochemical and Power & New Renewable Energy is also a real benefit from Pertamina's transformation and restructuring," he said.
The inauguration of this strategic project was marked by a digital signing by Taufik Adityawarman and Iman Rachman, accompanied by the Director of Operations of PT KPI, Didik Bahagia; Director of Project & Operations of PT Pertamina Power Indonesia, Norman Ginting; SVP Research & Technology Innovation of PT Pertamina, Oki Muraza. On the same occasion, the PLTS RU II Dumai project was inaugurated as well.
After the symbolic inauguration at the Patra Graha building, the group then made a Management Walk Through (MWT) visit to several projects that had just been inaugurated.**
