Bangka Belitung, September 16, 2023 - Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagsel continues its efforts to ensure the targeted and rule-compliant Subsidized Motor Fuel (BBM) and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) distribution.
Tjahyo Nikho Indrawan, Area Manager for Communication, Relations, and CSR in Sumbagsel, stated that Pertamina is closely monitoring the Subsidized Fuel and LPG distribution and sale to ensure it reaches the intended recipients. They also strictly instructed all distributors to comply with the applicable regulations.
"We also invite the public to join in monitoring the subsidized fuel and LPG distribution. If the public detects any signs of irregularities in the distribution, they can promptly report it by dialing 135. We also provide a dedicated complaint service for the people of Bangka Belitung at +62-823-2963-7886 for Bangka and +62-811-7999-775 for Belitung," Nikho said.
As part of their efforts to optimize services at public fuel stations (SPBU), Pertamina Patra Niaga continues to collaborate with the Indonesian National Army (TNI), the National Police (Polri), and the Fire Department (Damkar) to educate and enhance the patrol station operators' competence in delivering fuel products to the public.
Currently, there are various modes of abuse related to subsidized fuel, including the misuse of QR codes, the presence of black-market vehicles, and modified vehicles. Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagsel has identified six cases of misuse of subsidized fuel distribution that do not comply with the regulations in the Bangka Belitung region and has imposed sanctions on distributors, including suspending the subsidized fuel distribution.
Pertamina is not hesitant to impose sanctions on distributors if they commit violations or fraud related to the subsidized fuel and LPG distribution.
"We will even forward cases of suspected wrongdoing by irresponsible individuals to law enforcement authorities," Nikho emphasized.
Furthermore, Pertamina supports the efforts of the Bangka Belitung Regional Police (Polda Babel) in monitoring the distribution of subsidized BBM. From July to September 2023, Polda Babel has taken action against three cases of subsidized BBM abuse in Bangka Belitung.
The public is urged to purchase fuel and LPG according to their designated purposes and needs and to refrain from multiple purchases and hoarding.
