Jakarta, 12 May 2022 – PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) is committed to improving Good Corporate Governance (GCG) implementation in every business line. It is proven by the evaluation results of the PIS GCG index for 2021, which managed to reach an 89,801 score with a very good predicate.
This value has increased compared to 2020, which got an 84,495 score with a good predicate. Based on the results of the 2021 GCG assessment, PIS noted several aspects that could be improved (areas of improvement) on the GCG implementation within the company.
PIS also adopts a risk monitoring system, risk management, and PT Pertamina (Persero) internal control system and applies it in every aspect of business management. It is part of governance, operations, and synergies integration with PTK, PKT, and PIS PL in the Sub Holding Integrated Marine and Logistics (SH IML) function, including to increase synergy between PT Pertamina (Persero) Subholding.
"We recognize GCG implementation importance as a key requirement in achieving sustainable PIS performance," said Acting Corporate Secretary, Roberth MV Dumatubun.
The company's GCG assessment implementation carried out by PIS follows the Decree of the Secretary of the Minister of SOE Number: SK-16/S.MBU/2012 regarding Indicators/Good Corporate Governance (GCG) in SOE Assessment and Evaluation Parameters standard testing tools. It includes six main aspects of measurement; the commitment to the Implementation of Good Corporate Governance in a sustainable manner, Shareholders and GMS, Board of Commissioners, Board of Directors, Information Disclosure and Transparency, and other aspects.**
