Strengthening Operational Integration, Pertamina's RAFI 2021 Task Force Successfully Serves Energy during Ramadan & Eid

Jakarta, June 18, 2021 – Started on April 26, 2021, the Ramadhan and Eid al-Fitr (RAFI) 2021 Task Force of PT Pertamina (Persero) ended its assignment, on May 31, 2021, by successfully distributing fuel and LPG smoothly.

The performance of the Pertamina RAFI 2021 Task Force is supported by strengthening measures in integrating the operations of all lines of the company from upstream processing to downstream.

The RAFI 2021 Task Force ensures that national supply security is maintained and is ready to serve the increased energy consumption needed by the community during fasting and celebrating Eid. Fuel stock resilience during this period was recorded between 17-30 days, LPG for 16 days, and Avtur reached 73 days.

"Stocks at the Fuel Terminal and LPG Terminal are sufficient, and the supply to TBBM via ships and pipes is running well and smoothly," said Director of Logistics and Infrastructure of Pertamina, Mulyono, at the closing of the 2021 RAFI Task Force.

From product availability, the RAFI 2021 Task Force managed to distribute fuel, 92.4 kiloliters (KL) per day, up 34.5% in the same period the previous year for Gasoline and Gasoil by 36.7 KL or up 24.7%, compared to the previous year. As for LPG, the realization of distribution during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1442 H was recorded at 27.3 Metric Tons per day, an increase of 9.2% compared to the 2020 RAFI Task Force. Consumption of Avtur experienced a high demand spike, which was up 176.7% or by 5.4 KL per day. As for gas distribution, during this period, it reached 4,181 commercial customers and 503,601 jargas customers.

In refinery operations, the production is 4% higher than the estimate, or around 857.3 MBSD. The number of ships operating to serve energy needs throughout Indonesia is 255 fleets.

To anticipate the increase in energy demand during this period, Pertamina also prepared additional facilities and distribution facilities of fuel and LPG. It consisted of 738 standby petrol stations, 63 toll road gas stations, 32 Pertashops, 148 units of Standby Tank Cars, 193 units of Motorist or PDS, Mobile Dispenser 2 points, and 48,207 LPG Agents and Outlets Standby.
