Successful Service to Millions of Homecomers, Pertamina's RAFI Task Force Officially Closed

Jakarta, April 22, 2024 - PT Pertamina's (Persero) Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr Task Force (Satgas RAFI) 2024 has successfully served millions of homecomer's energy needs across Indonesia. Pertamina's RAFI Task Force for 2024 officially closed on April 22, 2024, after operating since March 25, 2024.

Director of Logistics & Infrastructure of Pertamina, Alfian Nasution, stated that the success of the 2024 RAFI Task Force serves as a guide for improving subsequent RAFI Task Forces and other task forces formed by Pertamina to face various national events or moments.

"The 2024 RAFI Task Force implementation ran safely and smoothly and received synergistic appreciation from all parties. The RAFI Task Forces can continue to be refined in the future, thus always providing the best service to the Indonesian people," Alfian said during the 2024 RAFI Task Force Closing Meeting.

Alfian also expressed appreciation to all Pertamina Officers who have carried out the RAFI task force well, including all production teams in the upstream sector, ship crews delivering energy to all corners of the archipelago, petrol station operators, as well as the HSSE team involved in security control aspects and the IT team who were proactive with various digitalization programs.

Upstream Subholding of Pertamina Hulu Energi, during the RAFI Task Force period, has optimized oil and gas production in 40 domestic working areas managed by Pertamina. Oil production has reached 93% of the target, while gas production has reached 102%.

In the processing sector, refinery production by the Pertamina Refinery Indonesia (KPI) ran according to the target, with the average production realization above the production plan. KPI successfully optimized Pertamina Refinery with a capacity of 1,074 MB per day and secured fuel stocks with production realization averaging above the production plan.

For the distribution line managed by the Integrated Marine Logistics (IML) Subholding, Pertamina International Shipping has deployed 318 ships and eight additional backup vessels beyond regular tonnage. During the RAFI Task Force period, Pertamina has transported around 500 domestic fuel shipments, 172 LPG shipments, and 44 international shipments for fuel and LPG.

Through the Gas Subholding, Pertamina Gas Negara (PGN) successfully met the gas needs of households, industries, and the transportation sector. By the end of the RAFI Task Force, household gas distribution has successfully delivered to 818,621 household customers in 18 provinces and 74 districts/cities. In addition, PGN also distributed gas to 5,120 Commercial, Industrial, and Small Customers, a 15% increase compared to the RAFI Task Force 2023 period. Distribution, transportation, regasification, and power businesses run by PGN also experienced an increase compared to the RAFI Task Force 2023 period.

Meanwhile, the Commercial & Trading Subholding, Pertamina Patra Niaga, which served as the forefront of energy services to the community during the Eid homecoming, successfully met the surge in demand for fuel, LPG, and Avtur. Throughout the Task Force period, gasoline demand increased by 9.7%, LPG by 4.8%, and Avtur by 7.3% compared to the average consumption.

The highest peak increase for gasoline occurred on April 9, 2024, or H-1, with a 46% increase, and the highest Avtur increase occurred on April 6, 2024, or H-4, by 31%, compared to the average consumption.

Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, added that to ensure service to the community, Pertamina has provided supporting energy services in potential routes including toll roads, tourist routes, and main crossroads consisting of 1,792 Alert Petrol Stations, 61 Alert Pertamina Kiosk units, 54 Motorists units, 202 Standby Tanker Cars, and six MyPertamina Serambi units. Pertamina also stationed 5,027 LPG Alert Agents & Outlets.
