"Currently, ESG implementation is important because it is a concrete solution in reducing global warming and various negative reactions from the earth that affect human life," he said.

"Sustainability development can only be realized by implementing ESG. Therefore, corporations are required to maintain their performance and protect the earth, the environment, and society.

"We believe that ESG implementation in all Pertamina business lines provides enormous benefits, not only for the company but also for consumers and other stakeholders," he said.

Juferson also invited all parties, "Let all business actors work hand in hand with the government, consumers and all stakeholders to create a better earth, for the next generation. Let us work together, to build a better world for our next generation,"

Meanwhile, Founder & CEO of BGKF and jury Deni Daruri gave his appreciation to the recipients of the 2021 ESG Awards, including Pertamina Group. "From thousands of companies, the jury managed to find 120 companies that have implemented ESG," he said.

Deni explained that BGKF identified 33 main ESG factors based on studies, regulations, international agreements, as well as reporting standards and guidelines. These factors affect the company's sustainability reporting and how to maintain sustainable business operations.

"The assessment method is also carried out in several ways. It includes logging into the company's website to see if it has made a sustainability report, seeing whether the sustainability report is through third-party assurance, how the level of sustainability conforms to the 33 ESG factors, and how the company prepares a detailed sustainability report," he concluded.**
