Palembang, April 5, 2023 - PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional (PT KPI) Refinery Unit III (RU III) Plaju (Pertamina Plaju Refinery) conducted a Ramadan Safari activity on Monday (4/3/2023) at the Darul Ridhwan Mosque, Komperta Plaju. This activity was carried out in gratitude for being reunited with the holy month of Ramadan and praying for the smooth and safe operation of all activities at the Pertamina Plaju Refinery.
General Manager of Pertamina Plaju Refinery, Yulianto Triwibowo, in his welcoming remarks, stated that during Ramadan and in anticipation of Eid al-Fitr, the Pertamina Plaju Refinery will continue to operate 24 hours a day and always be ready to support the smooth supply of energy in Sumsel.
He also conveyed that the Pertamina Plaju Refinery still operates safely, reliably, and complies with regulations. Therefore, by prioritizing these three things, the supply of fuel produced by the Pertamina Plaju Refinery, based on data, covers 60% of the Sumbagsel region and 12% of the national market.
"Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr themselves are moments for us to prove our work integrity and present our best contributions, even when fasting or in other special conditions," said Yulianto.
Representing the Governor of South Sumatra, Assistant 1 to the Governor of Sumsel, Drs. H. Edward Chandra, M.H. also expressed his appreciation for the performance of the Pertamina Plaju Refinery, which has been operating for more than 100 years.

Edward also stated that business activities such as the Pertamina Plaju Refinery are not separate from three aspects, namely economic, social, and environmental functions.
The influence of the Pertamina Plaju Refinery as a national-vital object in the economy is very significant. Based on data, the Pertamina Plaju Refinery supplies more than 50% of the energy needs in the Sumbagsel region, which consists of several provinces.
The Pertamina Plaju Refinery plays a significant role in social functions, as evidenced by its concern for the surrounding community through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs.
"Finally, the environmental function. This year, the Pertamina Plaju Refinery received an appreciation certificate for the PROPER Gold category, which is not an easy achievement and requires a process and stages to obtain," said Edward, who also serves as the Head of the South Sumatra Provincial Environment Agency.
The series of events in this Ramadan Safari program include group Isya prayer and a lecture by Ust. Prof. Dr. dr. H. Yuwono, M.Biomed., joint prayer, group tarawih prayer, and group dhikr.
