Support #GebrakMasker, Pertamina Handed Over 500 Thousand Masks Worth 1 Billion  

Jakarta, 9 September 2020 - Pertamina handed over 500 thousand masks worth IDR 1 billion to support the Gerakan Bersama Pakai (Gebrak) (Joint Movement to Use) PKK Masks throughout Indonesia. The aid was handed over by President Director of Pertamina, Nicke Widyawati, and received by the Chairman of the PKK Driving Team (TP PKK), Tri Tito Karnavian, witnessed by the Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri), Muhammad Tito Karnavian, Commissioner of PT. Pertamina, Condro Kirono, and related officials at the Ministry of Home Affairs office.

President Director of PT Pertamina, Nicke Widyawati, said that as a state-owned enterprise, Pertamina continues to support various government efforts to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and protect public health from being infected with Covid-19. Pertamina supports the government by always wearing masks and appreciating the Gebrak Masker PKK program initiated by the Ministry of Home Affairs TP PKK.

"Pertamina supports Gebrak Masker which was initiated by the PKK at the Ministry of Home Affairs to keep reminding the public to be disciplined in using masks and maintaining distance in any activity. It is hoped that this program can be a trigger for all parties to actively participate in the Gebrak Masker program considering that the pandemic is still not over," said Nicke.

Pertamina, added Nicke, has distributed more than 4.8 million masks and 33 thousand liters of hand sanitizer.  It was distributed to Integrated Health Centers, Public Health Centers, Hospitals, Petrol station customers, tank truck crews (AMT), communities, and government agencies.

Chairperson of the PKK Driving Team (TP PKK) Tri Tito Karnavian welcomed Pertamina's support for the success of #GebrakMasker.

According to Tri, the PKK Team has a wide network to rural areas. Therefore it can participate in the success of #GebrakMasker as emphasized by President Jokowi.

"With the Covid-19 pandemic, we from the PKK held the PKK Gebrak Masker movement donate one million masks in the DKI Jakarta Province area. Hopefully, with this assistance, we can help reduce the number of transmissions and prevent Covid-19 in DKI Jakarta. We thank you, Pertamina Persero," said Tri

Meanwhile, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian appreciated the support provided by Pertamina and conveyed that following President Jokowi's directives said directly at a cabinet meeting, to maximize the TP PKK in making contributions, especially in socializing 3M (wearing masks, washing hands, and keeping your distance).

"With the PKK network that is very broad, it is hoped that the socialization will be wider, and the potential for transmission will be reduced. Therefore, this good opportunity the support from Pertamina can be followed by other parties," he added.**
