Gresik, December 15, 2021 - As a form of support for the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources' program regarding the conversion of LPG to BBM for farmers, Pertamina Patra Niaga in the Jatimbalinus region assisted the delivery of 100 LPG conversion packages to farmers by the Director-General of Oil and Gas of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources at the Munggugianti Village Hall, Benjeng District, Gresik Regency on Monday (13/12). At the event, member of the Indonesian House of Representatives Commission VII, Dyah Roro, Coordinator of Oil and Gas Infrastructure Supervision, Director General of Oil and Gas, Erikson Simanjuntak, Head of the Gresik Regency Agriculture Service, Ir. Eko Aminoyo Putro, MMA, and Sales Branch Manager of Pertamina Patra Niaga Gresik region, Arif Rohman were present.
In his speech, Erikson Simanjuntak said that the program for converting fuel to 3 kg LPG has been carried out since 2016. “We and Pertamina have been carrying out this program since 5 years ago and this program is aimed at fishermen and farmers throughout Indonesia to be able to use the 3 kg LPG subsidy program from the government," he said.
Meanwhile, in a separate location, Area Manager of Communication, Relations & CSR of Pertamina Patra Niaga Jatimbalinus, Deden Mochammad Idhani, said that Pertamina will fulfill the needs of 3 kg LPG stock to the farmers who were given the conversion package. In 2021, it is targeted that 3,546 conversion packages will be distributed in East Java.
"As an SOE appointed to provide subsidized 3 kg LPG, Pertamina through the Commercial & Trading Sub Holding, that is Pertamina Patra Niaga, will certainly fulfill the needs of the LPG stock. Moreover, 3 kg LPG is a subsidized product and farmers are one of the objects for subsidies by the government," said Deden.
Regarding the availability of LPG as the main fuel, Deden added that currently, Pertamina Patra Niaga is also continuing to expand the reach of the One Village One Outlet (OVOO) program, namely the distribution of 3 Kg LPG bases, which targets the availability of one base in each village or sub-district. "Hopefully, the conversion program can run well and sustainably so that it can provide great benefits for fishermen and farmers in Indonesia," stated Deden.**
