Palangkaraya, August 28, 2020 - Pertamina is working together with the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government and the East Barito Regency Government in the utilization of Pertamina's assets along 60 Km so that they can be used to improve the community's economy.
The utilization of these assets is in the form of roads from Bentot Village, Petangkep Tutui District to Telang Baru Village, Paju Epat District, and a landing site in the form of a road located on the bank of the Patai Telang Baru River, East Barito Regency, Central Kalimantan Province.
The synergy for the utilization of assets is stated in the Memorandum of Understanding between Pertamina and the Provincial Government of Central Kalimantan. The synergy ceremony was attended by the President Director of Pertamina, Nicke Widyawati, Pertamina Commissioner, Condro Kirono, Director of Business Support, M. Haryo Yunianto, Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Corruption Eradication Commission Lili Pintauli Siregar, Regional Secretary of Central Kalimantan Province, Fahrizal Fitri and also Head of the High Prosecutor's Office of Central Kalimantan Province, Dr. Mukri on Thursday, (27/8) at the Governor's office in Central Kalimantan.
To make the most of these road assets, Pertamina, together with its subsidiary, Patra Jasa, will carry out a program plan covering the development of road infrastructure and increasing connectivity between regions so it can facilitate the transport of commodities, especially from mining and plantation products.
"We highly appreciate the KPK and Kajati, who has provided extraordinary support in escorting our assets in East Barito. It is hoped that with this collaboration, we can develop the infrastructure and absorb much workforce," said Nicke Widyawati, President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero).
Deputy of the Corruption Eradication Commission of the Republic of Indonesia, Lili Pintauli Siregar welcomed Pertamina's asset settlement and joint management with the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government, the East Barito Regency Government, and Pertamina, which agreed on a road asset optimization program.
"We will also monitor and ensure to help if obstacles are present going forward. Because one of the KPK's duties is to carry out coordination and supervision functions with related agencies, in the form of monitoring corruption and also conducting monitoring activities on the implementation of illustrations of the regional government," she added.
In line with KPK Deputy, Central Kalimantan High Court, Dr. Mukri also appreciated Pertamina's collaboration and synergy with the Regional Government to control and optimize assets. He hopes that this synergy would become a pilot project for solving asset problems, especially other Pertamina assets. Therefore, in the future, everything can go well in order to increase the value of the original area.
Meanwhile, the Central Kalimantan Provincial Secretary, Fahrizal Fitri, added that the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between PT Pertamina, the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government, and the East Barito Regency Government is a step forward to improve asset control and optimize local revenue. In the end, it was completed with the help and cooperation of all parties until the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding.
Nicke also said that Kalimantan is a strategic area for Pertamina and is an area where operating coverage from upstream to downstream is complete. "In the upstream, we have assets such as in Bunyu, Sanga-Sanga, Tarakan, and Tanjung, and then there is also Mahakam, which produces the largest gas. We also have the Balikpapan refinery, which is contributing to 25% of Indonesian fuel production, and supplies fuel to all eastern regions of Indonesia," she said.
Pertamina is also developing refineries and increasing the capacity from 266 thousand barrels per day to 366 thousand barrels per day. It will be the biggest refinery in Indonesia. The downstream coverage is also not inferior; Pertamina has 10 fuel terminals, 460 gas stations, and 9 DPPU for refilling avtur.
"This is a very large asset and will be continued to be optimized for the welfare of the people of the nation and state. We are very open to structuring and collaborating with the local government so that these assets provide benefits to the region and the surrounding community," added Nicke.
"We hope that the collaboration with the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government will set an example for other provincial governments," she concluded.**
