The curation is done for fostered partners with a minimum loan of one year with current collectability. After that, there will be 500 fostered partners selected and verified based on their willingness to participate in the program, business conditions, and technology to support the business.
According to Fajriyah, in terms of business conditions, the curator team will see the business's development from the last few years. It is seen in terms of production stability and sales results, which are stable or continue to increase. "As for the use of technology, the UMKM Academy participants are hoped to be digitally literate to ease the upgrading process," she said.
Once verified, the fostered partners will be grouped based on the verification results, which are Go Modern, Go Digital, Go Online, and Go Global. As of Wednesday (4/11), the curation result shows six out of the target of 75 fostered partners that entered the Go Modern class. There are 39 from the target 125 fostered partners that entered the Go Online class, and there are 166 from the target 100 fostered partners that entered the Go Global class.
"The number of Go Global fostered MSMEs partners has surpassed the initial target. It shows that many fostered partners are ready to market their products internationally. Next, to meet the target of the other class, there are several MSMEs from the Go Global group that will be included in the Go Digital and Go Online group," explained Fajriyah
The number is still fluctuating and will continue to increase before the kick-off of the UMKM Academy program on November 10, 2020.
