May 17, 2024 - The First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo's support for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) was evident when she attended the National Craft Council (Dekranas) Expo 2024 at Pamedan Pura Mangkunegaran, Surakarta, on May 16, 2024. Mrs. Iriana Jokowi and Mrs. Wury Ma'ruf Amin even visited the Pertamina's fostered SMEs' stands and purchased batik and bracelets.
"Mrs. Iriana bought a bracelet from Pertamina's fostered SME, Joglo Ayu, and several pieces of batik from Griya Kain Solo," said Fadjar Djoko Santoso, Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina.
Fadjar added that Mrs. Iriana Jokowi, Mrs. Wury Ma'ruf Amin, and Mrs. Liza Erick Thohir also sampled coffee from Canaya Geothermal Coffee, a Pertamina Geothermal Energy fostered SME.
"The coffee comes from Kamojang, West Java, where the production and drying processes utilize geothermal energy. It is the first in the world," Fadjar explained.
Esti, the owner of Griya Kain Solo, a Pertamina-fostered SME from Solo that produces handmade batik, expressed her joy for being invited by Pertamina to participate in the exhibition. "I was thrilled when I was informed about the exhibition. It helps increase our sales, attract more customers, and promote our products," Esti said.
