Jakarta, March 30, 2022 – PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) ensures the security and distribution of national energy for fuel and gas.
It can be seen from the increasing number of PIS cargo transportation every year. The increase in PIS transport volume cannot be separated from its ability to operate Very Large Gas Carrier (VLGC) vessels or large gas carriers.
Throughout 2021, PIS recorded operating performance to transport cargo reached 135.5 million KL. From that amount, 109.7 million KL are domestic cargo. "PIS is committed to providing the best service as a trusted and reliable maritime partner, as well as being the artery that flows energy for the country," Roberth MV Dumatubun, Acting Corporate Secretary, said on Wednesday (30/3).
To guarantee and increase the national fuel needs of crude oil supply from Pertamina's refineries, PIS has 2 VLCC (Very Large Crude Carrier) vessels with a capacity of 2.04 million barrels each.
Currently, 95 vessels owned by PIS operate to distribute energy to Indonesia and abroad, from upstream to downstream.
In distributing fuel and gas, PIS coordinates with Pertamina Patra Niaga and Pertamina International Refinery as a Pertamina Subholding.
PIS is committed to maintaining the security of energy supply and distribution while making operations a shared responsibility and a form of service to the community. "We are ready to ensure energy distribution through good implementation and provide comfort for the community in their activities."**
